A hidden gem of a hotel
It's not well known, but it's a great inn. It's a hidden gem of a rural inn with 8 rooms, located in the middle of 49,000 square meters of nature at the foot of the Hida mountains. There's Japanese hearth and a waterwheel, so you can feel close to nature. It's independent guest cottages from the station, but if you make a reservation 7 days before your stay, there is a shuttle service from Takayama Station (West Exit/Hakusan Exit). You can also enjoy the hypotonic, weakly alkaline natural hot spring in a wild rock bath that makes use of huge stones from the Jomon period and a cypress bath. As for the food, you can eat a Japanese banquet using local seasonal ingredients such as high-quality Hida beef and fresh river fish that are unique to Hida Takayama.
