  • A cheap accommodation in the center of Kyoto that is also recommended as a base for sightseeing

    If you are looking for a hotel near Sanjusangendo Temple in Kyoto, how about Hotel Sunroute Kyoto? It is within walking distance of Kawaramachi Station and Kiyomizu-Gojo Station, and is also close to Sanjusangendo Temple in Kyoto. The rooms are modern Western-style and the room rates are reasonable. I think you will be able to relax there.

  • It is located near the nearest station, Kiyomizu-dera Gojo Station.

    It is a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Kiyomizu-Gojo Station, and a 25-minute walk from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, so it is convenient to access. It is reasonably priced for two people. I recommend the twin room. It is a clean and comfortable hotel.

    Hotel Sunroute Kyoto in Kawaramachi has a variety of price options to choose from. It is also recommended to eat out for dinner at a Kyoto-style restaurant. Yasaka Shrine is close by, as is Chion-in Temple, famous for its New Year's Eve bells. If you walk east from there, you will reach Kiyomizu-dera Temple, so I think it is in a convenient location.

    Since you are going to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, I think a hotel near Kawaramachi would be good. The Sunroute Hotel is a national chain hotel, so the room rates are not so high. However, it is not priced like a cheap business hotel, and the facilities are well-equipped, so you can feel the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. From Kawaramachi, first go to Yasaka Shrine, then Chion-in Temple, pass Kodai-ji Temple, which is famous for its autumn leaves, and go up Sannenzaka to Kiyomizu-dera Temple.

  • It is a quiet and beautiful hotel.

    It's a little independent guest cottages from Shijo Kawaramachi, but it's clean and the rooms are quite spacious. It's nice to go to Shijo Kawaramachi for shopping, and take a stroll along the river. It's quiet and recommended because it's independent guest cottages from the city center.
