You can enjoy the hot 100% natural hot spring while looking out at Mount Yufu.
Yufuin Besso Shikisai Hotel has an open-air bath where you can enjoy the 100% natural hot spring while gazing at Mt. Yufu. There are also two indoor baths that can be rented for private use. The guest rooms are spacious Western-style rooms with generous beds. The natural scenery along the Yunotsubo River that spreads out from the window is soothing. For dinner, you can enjoy kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）made with seasonal ingredients from the local Bungo area of Oita. For women, there is a rental service for colorful yukata, so you can take commemorative photos that will look instagrammable. The inn is easily accessible, with a free shuttle from Yufuin Station.

Limited to 3 groups per day, "Private bath included" plan
There is a private bath that requires a reservation at check-in (first come, first served). There are two types of baths, a cypress bath and a stone bath, and although they are small, you can enjoy a relaxing soak in the Yufuin hot springs. Dinner was a seasonal kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）made with fresh ingredients from Bungo, Oita, and it also came with a cherry blossom roll cake. There is also a free rental of a beautifully colored yukata, which I think will get your girlfriend excited.
