A Japanese-style inn on the banks of the Nagara River in Gifu Prefecture
The inn is located about an hour from JR Nagoya Station. In stark contrast to the city of Nagoya, this inn is located on the top of Mt. Kinka, on the gentle flow of the clear Nagara River. From the open-air bath, which boasts a view of Gifu Castle and the best scenery on the banks of the Nagara River, you can also enjoy the scenery from the large open-air bath, where high-quality hot spring water flows to the brim, creating a sense of openness. As the inn is designated as a nationally important cultural landscape, "Gifu's Cultural Landscape in the Midstream Basin of the Nagara River," the view from the rooms is also soothing. Some rooms have open-air baths, and the meals are kaiseki cuisine, unique to an inn run by a family of cormorant fishermen who eat rare wild sweetfish from the Nagara River.
