  • Buffet with 70 different dishes

    How about a hotel with a breakfast Buffet with 70 different dishes? It's quite rare to find such a large selection at an all-you-can-eat hot spring inn. There are also many types of baths, so it's a good idea to try Visiting hot springs in the different baths in the hotel.

    At Hotel Sakurai in Kusatsu Onsen, the breakfast Buffet is just as luxurious as the dinner. Buffet offers about 70 types of Japanese side dishes, Western food, and fresh vegetables, giving you energy in the morning. Dinner is also Buffet, but since you're going all the way to Kusatsu, it might be better to only stay at the hotel for breakfast and eat out for dinner.

  • Experience the traditional "Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.)" ritual at Kusatsu Onsen

    Hotel Sakurai is located in Kusatsu Onsen, and since we chose Buffet, the accommodation fee was cheap, and we had a spacious room with a layout of 10 tatami mats. The room was simple and had no unnecessary things, so we could have a little fun and relax, or stretch our legs and rest. In the evening, there was a show of the traditional Kusatsu Onsen "Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.)" and we were able to experience it together, which was rare and fun. There was also a Japanese drum show, which was impressive. The large hot spring bath was also spacious, and the open-air bath gave us a Japanese feel and made us feel relaxed.
