  • Unbeatable Value for Groups at Itoen Hotel Kusatsu!

  • For a graduation trip with a group of 5, especially if you're looking for great value (or what we call "cos-pa" – cost performance – in Japan!), you really can't go wrong with Itoen Hotel Kusatsu. They have spacious rooms that can actually fit up to 8 people, so your group of 5 will have plenty of space to hang out. The real highlight for many groups, especially students, is the dining: Dinner: It's an all-you-can-eat buffet with a huge variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes. Plus, it includes unlimited soft drinks AND an all-you-can-drink alcohol menu (beer, sake, shochu, wine, etc.) – perfect for celebrating your graduation! Breakfast: Also a generous buffet with both Japanese and Western options, including fruits and fresh juices to start your day right. Now for the onsen – which is what Kusatsu is famous for! They have fantastic large public baths with gensen kakenagashi (100% pure, free-flowing hot spring water directly from the source). These public baths also feature an outdoor bath (rotenburo), a sauna, and a cold water bath (mizuburo) to cool down. A huge plus for groups, especially if some members are new to onsen culture: They offer free private reservable baths (kashikiri buro)! This is a fantastic option if anyone in your group feels a bit hesitant about the communal bathing culture (being nude with strangers). You can enjoy the onsen experience just with your friends. And for more group fun: The hotel offers free table tennis. There are also karaoke rooms you can use for free (usually for one hour per group). These are super popular, so if you want to belt out some tunes, make sure to book your karaoke slot as soon as you check in!

  • Enjoy Excellent Buffet & Famous Hot Springs!

  • My stay at Itoen Hotel Kusatsu was more comfortable than I expected. The inn is located in a quiet area a little independent guest cottages from the Yubatake hot springs, and a free shuttle bus makes it easy to get around. What impressed me most was the high quality of the dinner buffet. There was a very wide variety of dishes, and we could enjoy a variety of cuisines, including Japanese, Western, and Chinese. The hot dishes were constantly replenished, and all of them were delicious. The large, open-air bath where you can enjoy Kusatsu's famous hot springs was wonderful, and the open-air bath had an open atmosphere that made you feel like you were in the middle of a forest. The hotel is well-equipped with a table tennis room, games corner, and a shop. It was good value for money, and I had a fulfilling stay that was lively yet relaxing.

  • It is a very cost-effective hotel.

  • The abundant hot spring water flows directly into the baths, making this the perfect onsen(hot spring) for guests who are particular about the quality of the spring. Everything is catered for, including alcohol and food. I think everyone from adults to children can have a great time! It's a very reasonable hotel, so even students can easily stay here without worrying about the price.

  • Recommended Kusatsu Onsen hotels with rooms that can accommodate a large number of people

  • This is an inn with rooms that can accommodate a larger number of people. There are rooms that can accommodate 7 to 9 people, so there is plenty of room for 5 people. Since it is part of the Itoen group, the accommodation fee is also reasonable. The food is also great value for money, as you can eat as much as you like at Buffet including all-you-can-eat crab.

  • This is a hot spring inn in Kusatsu where you can eat crab.

  • This is a lodging in Kusatsu that offers an all-you-can-eat plan for snow crab and red king crab. This is only available during the winter season, so be sure to check the availability and price of the plan before making a reservation. In addition to open-air baths and saunas, there are also private baths. The water is fresh and 100% natural hot spring, so it is recommended. • Two buffet meals for under 10,000 yen. Pick-up and drop-off from Kusatsu Bus Terminal.

  • The hot spring is drawn from the Bandaiko hot spring source and boasts a flow rate of over 32,000 liters per minute. The free-flowing hot spring water is poured into the large communal bath, open-air bath, and three free private baths. There is also a sauna, which was canceled due to COVID-19. Dinner is a Japanese, Western and Chinese Buffet, and breakfast is a Japanese and Western Buffet, with a wide variety of dishes and free drinks, including alcohol. • Amazing value for Buffet with two buffet meals including all-you-can-eat snow crab!

  • It's surprisingly cheap, even with all-you-can-eat snow Buffet and two meals, a Japanese, Western and Chinese buffet. There's beer at the drink bar, which is perfect for people who like alcohol. The dinner Buffet takes 70 minutes. However, it's quite far from the Yubatake. If you can put up with that, you'll be satisfied with the large indoor bath, the open-air bath, the free private bath, the sauna and many other options. The karaoke room is free for up to an hour. Of course, there are two tables at the table tennis corner, which are also free. Both are first come first served.
