  • Kinosaki Onsen Nishimuraya Honkan
  • Traveling to Kinosaki onsen(hot spring) with the family! Are there any lodgings where we can enjoy the traditional atmosphere and onsen(hot spring)?

I'm planning a family trip to Kinosaki Onsen. Since we're visiting this special town, we really want to enjoy the nostalgic, old-town atmosphere, the charm of the onsen streets, and the hot springs themselves at a leisurely pace. Could you please recommend a historic ryokan in Kinosaki Onsen with that nostalgic feel?

Kinosaki Yamamotoya

Kinosaki-cho Yushima 643

  • An Inn Where You Can Feel the Best of Old Kinosaki

  • This is a well-established ryokan with over 350 years of history, located right in the center of the onsen town. The exterior, built with wood and earthen walls, truly evokes the feeling of classic Kinosaki Onsen. After a relaxing soak in the hot springs, you can sample Kinosaki Beer, brewed at the inn's own factory. You can enjoy the beer alongside Tajima beef and other fresh seasonal ingredients.

Tsukimotoya Ryokan

  • A Quiet and Peaceful Atmosphere

  • Although located in the heart of the Kinosaki Onsen town, this is a small inn with only 10 rooms in a three-story wooden building (note: there is no elevator). It offers a quiet and atmospheric stay, along with the delicious cuisine that Kinosaki is known for. The inn is also close to the Sotoyu (public baths), making it easy to pop in for a quick soak while strolling around the town.

Sento Ryokan

城崎町湯島540

  • A traditional Japanese-style inn

  • The inn is located in the center of Kinosaki Onsen, so the surrounding area is lively, but the interior is built in a purely Japanese style, making it a very relaxing inn. The meals were kaiseki kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with seasonal ingredients, and we were able to enjoy our meals without feeling rushed. It's perfect for a relaxing trip.
