  • [Mixed Bathing] I want to go to Secret hot spring "Hiba Senninburo"! Are there any recommended hot spring inns around Sukayu Onsen?

I would like to go to the "Hiba Senninburo" bath at Sukayu Onsen with a friend, but I'm not used to bathing in bathing clothes. I'm thinking of just stopping by the "Hiba Senninburo" bath to get a feel for the atmosphere of Mixed-Gender Hot Springs hot spring, then staying at another hotel and relaxing in the hot spring. Since we'll be traveling by car, it's fine if it's somewhere far away, like deep in the mountains. Are there any hotels with famous hot springs that are good to visit after visiting Sukayu Onsen? Since I'm focusing on the hot springs, I don't mind if the inn and facilities are a little old. I'd like a place that includes meals.

Hotel Jogakura

Arakawa Hakkodasanchu

  • This hotel is about a 5-minute drive from Sukayu Onsen.

  • There's nothing to be afraid of at the Sennin-buro bath. Go in with enthusiasm. You can also buy a women's bath as a souvenir, so please take it home with you. However, the sulfur spring has a strong egg smell, so it's quite difficult to get rid of the hot spring smell, so it's best to keep that in mind. This hotel, located about a 5-minute drive from Sukayu Onsen, has a large public bath and an open-air bath. Enjoy your hot spring trip.

  • A hotel where you can enjoy hot springs near Sukayu Onsen

  • Hotel Towadaso has an open open-air bath and a large public bath with a great view. You can feel the sense of openness and forget about your daily fatigue and refresh yourself. You can enjoy local gourmet food and dishes made with seasonal ingredients, and you can fully enjoy the resort atmosphere. I'm sure you will be satisfied.

Tsuta Onsen Ryokan

Okuse Aza Tsutanoyu 1

  • A hot spring inn surrounded by beech forests

  • If you're looking for somewhere other than Sukayu Onsen, I recommend Tsuta Onsen Ryokan. It's a hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) surrounded by beech forests, and nearby there are seven small ponds, large and small, called the Tsuta Nananuma. This hot spring is a historic hot spring that was opened during the Heian period, and the source of the hot spring bubbles up from under your feet. The rooms are also retro and charming. It's a great hotel to get to know the Japanese spirit, as the lyrics of the hit song "Tabi no Yado" by Japanese folk singer Takuro Yoshida were also drafted here.

Koganezaki Furofushi Onsen

Henashi Shimokiyotaki 15-1

  • An inn where you can fully enjoy Nature

  • The open-air bath overlooking the sunset is truly Breathtaking view, and you can soak in the bath while watching the sun sink into the sea. The water is a sulfur spring containing iron, so you can relieve your fatigue and enjoy your trip to the fullest. You can also enjoy the food, which mainly consists of fresh fish caught in the Sea of Japan.

Berjaya Hakkoda Ski Resort

1-58 Kansuizawa, Arakawa, Aomori-shi

  • Close to Sukayu and good hot water

  • The building is old, but the water is good. There are nine hot springs in Hakkoda, so be sure to check them out. mineral deposits also recommend the Yunohana hot springs at Sarukura Onsen. One of the joys of Hakkoda is that the quality of the hot springs is completely different from one another. Tsuta Onsen is not often visited by people from Aomori, but it is a good hot spring to stay overnight.

Hakkoda Sanso

  • A charming mountain lodge where you can feel Nature

  • This is a convenient inn located right next to the ropeway station. This is more like a mountain hut than Ryokan (Japanese inn). It had a homey and comfortable atmosphere. The bath is like a public bath and the rooms are simple, but the view of nature from the window was a pleasant awakening. The food was delicious and homemade, and I enjoyed eating. It was a relaxing inn that was different from a luxury hotel.

Lamp no Yado Aoni Onsen

1-7 Aza-Aonisawa Takinoue, Oaza Okiura, Kuroishi-shi

  • A charming inn

  • Lamp Inn is a hot spring that only those in the know know about. There are no electric lights and the only light is from lamps, so it is enveloped in a fantastic atmosphere. The outdoor bath and the atmosphere were great. The food was also very delicious. If you wish, you can also ride in a shuttle bus. Recently it has become popular not only with Japanese people but also with inbound tourists from overseas, so make your reservation early!

Yachi Onsen

1 Yachi, Horyo, Towada-shi

  • We also recommend Sarukura, a hidden hot spring resort near Sukayu Onsen!

  • Sarukura is also recommended near Sukayu, but it wasn't on the hotel list, so I'll introduce Yachi Onsen, which is also highly recommended and has the Sandai Hiyashi Onsen. This is also a historic inn, but if you're looking for a hot spring, this is the one to go for! By the way, the Senninburo bath at Sukayu Onsen has a women-only time. It opens at 8pm and you can also enter the men's area, so Sukayu Onsen is actually the most recommended. (There are other baths besides the Senninburo, and the food is great, so next time I'll definitely go to Sukayu Onsen.)
