Yufuin Souan Kosumosu

1500 Kawakami

  • An inn located just past hot spring town

  • I picked this place up because I was looking for a place to stay in Yufuin Onsen that would go well with a stroll around the hot spring town. The inn is located at the end of the hot spring town from the station, so it might be a good idea to head to the inn while checking out the restaurants you want to eat at.

Ryotei Tanokura Ryokan

1556-2 Kawakami

  • A small, purely Japanese-style Ryokan (Japanese inn) with 11 rooms

  • If you're in Yufuin Onsen, how about "Tabitei Tanokura"? Located in the hot spring town close to Lake Kinrin, it is a small, purely Japanese-style Ryokan (Japanese inn) with a total of 11 rooms. Meals are mainly Bungo beef, and you can enjoy kaiseki cuisine made with Kyushu ingredients such as Seki horse mackerel and Seki mackerel in the dining area or in your room. The food is not prepared in advance, but is served at a pace that suits you. There are also open-air baths and indoor baths with natural hot spring water, and some rooms have their own open-air baths.

Yufuin Santoukan

1553 Kawakami

  • Mainly for sightseeing and eating

  • Although it is located near Lake Kinrin and in a quiet area, it is only a few minutes walk from Yunotsubo Kaido. There are also restaurants and convenience stores within a few minutes walk. You can use the large public bath at our sister hotel, Tanokura. After that, please enjoy a walk from corner to corner of Yufuin. The plan without breakfast and dinner is reasonable.

Yufuin Kotobuki Hananosho

Kawakami 2900-5

  • Enjoy plenty of sightseeing in the heart of hot spring town

  • Just a few minutes from Yufuin Station. Located in the center of the Yufuin tourist area, it is an excellent location for walking. The large hot spring bath is spacious and the open-air bath has a sense of openness. The tasteful design makes it very comfortable, and at night you can see a beautiful starry sky. For dinner, we enjoyed a luxurious Shabu Shabu(Japanese hotpot)of Japanese black beef. The view from the room is also excellent. The garden has a Noh stage and a watermill, and the view from there is also excellent.

Yufuin Kutsurogi no yado Nanakawa

1551-2 Kawakami, Yufuin-Cho

  • A relaxing and soothing inn

  • Relaxing Inn Nanakawa is located just a short walk from Lake Kinrin, a symbolic tourist spot of Yufuin Onsen, and has good access to Yunotsubo Kaido, a representative hot spring town of Yufuin, making it an ideal location for sightseeing and walking. The rooms are cottage-style rooms with open-air baths that allow you to maintain your privacy, so you can relax with a friend. There are only a few rooms, so it is a quiet and relaxing inn, so it is recommended for Golden Week (early-May holiday season in Japan) trips.

  • The outdoor bath is one of the largest in Yufuin.

  • If you are staying at Yufuin Onsen, I recommend "Yufuin Sansuikan". It has two baths that are among the largest in Yufuin. I stayed there a few years ago. The open-air bath in particular was Breathtaking view view of nature and Mt. Yufu. The room was a Japanese-style room, but it was clean and comfortable.

Kamenoi Bessou

2633-1 Kawakami, Yufuin-cho, Yufu-shi

  • A prestigious, long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) convenient for sightseeing in Yufuin

  • Located on the shores of Lake Kinrin, the inn is one of the three great inns in Yufuin. Kamenoi Besso is famous as a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) that is the envy of hot spring enthusiasts. You are sure to feel refreshed in the midst of nature, and you can enjoy seasonal kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )and relax in the large public bath with a great view. The food is carefully prepared and the taste is rich. I have stayed here for work, and Yufuin is one of Ryokan (Japanese inn) with a high repeat rate. Why not give it a try?
