Looking for Luxury Ryokans with Breathtaking Infinity Onsen!
I've been seeing those amazing infinity onsen on Instagram—the ones where the hot spring seems to merge right into the landscape. I'd love to experience one for myself! Can anyone recommend some top-tier onsen ryokans that have one? This is a special trip to treat myself and unwind from work, so budget isn't an issue. I'm looking for the best of the best!
20Hotel rankings chosen by people
- Since you mentioned that budget isn't an issue for your special trip, I highly recommend staying in the new 'Sora-kan' (Sky Wing). Our room was incredibly spacious with a chic, sophisticated interior that was just lovely. The best part was the window, which gave us a private, panoramic view of Beppu Bay.
Guests of the Sora-kan wing also get exclusive access to 'Sora-yu,' a scenic rooftop onsen. It has a much calmer and more intimate atmosphere compared to the main 'Tanayu' baths, allowing you to enjoy the view in a more private setting. The dining was also a special experience, with a dedicated restaurant for Sora-kan guests serving a magnificent buffet.ナキウサギ's answer (Posted on:2025/10/ 9)

The Ultimate Luxury: Every Room with an Ocean View & Private Onsen
- At AMANE RESORT SEIKAI, every single room has a stunning ocean view, and even better, each one comes with its own private open-air onsen. There's truly nothing more luxurious than being able to soak in your bath and enjoy that incredible scenery all to yourself, whenever you want, for as long as you want.
If you're someone who wants to relax and truly values your privacy, I honestly think this is the perfect hotel for you. Of course, the main public bath is also amazing—it has a spectacular infinity view that makes you feel like you're floating right in Beppu Bay.モモンガ's answer (Posted on:2025/10/ 9)

True Bliss: A Hakone Ryokan Where Every Room Has a Private Onsen
- You have to check out Tenyu in Hakone! The amazing thing is that every single room comes with its own beautiful open-air onsen bath, made from traditional Shigaraki pottery. It was the ultimate luxury to be able to soak in my private bath on the balcony, feeling the crisp, fresh air of the mountains. It's your own little sanctuary.
While the main public infinity onsen is stunning, there's something truly special about enjoying the high-quality spring water in the comfort of your own room, anytime you please. My favorite way to relax there: after a long soak, just sit out on the balcony chairs and peacefully take in the view. It's absolute bliss.シマエナガ's answer (Posted on:2025/10/ 9)

Hotel on the shores of Lake Toya
- Lake Toya is right in front of you, so when you soak in the open-air bath, it looks like the water is flowing down onto the lake. There is also a large bathhouse in the style of a Showa-era public bath, which has a completely different atmosphere and is interesting. Overall, the hotel has a modern Japanese feel, making it a relaxing place to stay.ぷるまり's answer (Posted on:2019/6/23)

You can watch the sun set over the Pacific Ocean from the infinity open-air bath.
- "Infinito Hotel & Spa Nanki Shirahama" is a hotel located on a hill near the sea, and if you make a reservation in advance, they will pick you up from Nanki Shirahama Airport or Shirahama Station. The hotel has a lounge with a panoramic view of the sea, a stylish indoor large bath (with sauna), and an open-air bath where you can experience infinity, where you can relax and watch the sun sink into the Pacific Ocean. We recommend staying in a room with a terrace on the ocean side. You can relax while looking at the sea. If your budget allows, you can also stay in a room with an open-air hot spring bath. For dinner, you can choose between a Japanese kaiseki course or an Italian course, depending on the plan. With either course, you can eat fresh seafood from Nanki and Kumano beef.RRgypsies's answer (Posted on:2020/8/ 7)

The food is Buffet, with a wide selection of Japanese and Western menu made with locally produced ingredients from Hokuriku. There is also a plan with an all-you-can-drink option, which was very popular. The deluxe Japanese and Western room on the river side is luxurious and recommended.ヤギヌマ's answer (Posted on:2020/1/ 1)

Enjoy the Seto Inland Sea in an infinity world
- This hot spring inn is located in Ako, and from the open-air bath in the large communal bath you can enjoy Breathtaking view view of the Seto Inland Sea. There are no fences in front of the infinity bath, and it is one with the sea and sky. I was able to relax with the sound of the waves as background music. The indoor bath is made of glass, so you can enjoy the view of the sea from inside the bath as well. The food is a kaiseki meal with plenty of fresh fish, which is unique to Ako. The sashimi is also excellent. The specialty, salt-grilled sea bream, is a taste that can only be found here. There are rooms facing the sea and the mountains, and I chose the sea side, so I could see the sea from my room. It was a wonderful inn where I could relax.くまたんさん's answer (Posted on:2022/7/ 6)

Lake Gosho and hot spring infinity
- Enjoy the comfort of a hot spring bath while admiring the magnificent Gosho Lake that spreads out before your eyes. We recommend Hotel Shion in Tsunagi Onsen, Iwate Prefecture. This wonderful hot spring hotel is less than 30 minutes by car from Morioka Station. You can enjoy the luxury of beautiful lake views from all rooms. The open-air bath "Hitorijime no Yu" is especially comfortable as you can admire the lake. If the weather is good, you can also admire the beautiful Mt. Iwate across the lake. The highly alkaline hot spring water also has skin-beautifying effects, so we especially recommend it for a reward trip or overnight stay♪エイム's answer (Posted on:2019/7/16)

It's a little far from Tokyo, but the view of the ocean from the open-air bath is Breathtaking view!
- Minami Sanriku Hotel has Breathtaking view view of the ocean from its open-air bath. You can relax in the hot springs while watching the seagulls and the beautiful ocean of Minami Sanriku, and it is a luxurious time that will heal both your body and mind. Because the ocean is close, the seafood is also delicious, and whether you eat it at the hotel or at a restaurant in the nearby Minami Sanriku San San Shopping Street, it is both delicious.鶴太郎's answer (Posted on:2019/5/26)
