  • Wanoyado Hotel Iya Onsen Natural Hot Spring
  • Are there any recommended accommodations in Iya hot spring, Shikoku?

I'm going on a motorcycle trip around Shikoku. I'm planning to stop off at Iya hot spring because I'll be passing through some uncharted areas of Shikoku. I'd like to enjoy local ingredients to the fullest. Can you recommend any lodgings where I can eat delicious food made with local ingredients?

Wanoyado Hotel Iya Onsen Natural Hot Spring

367-28 Matsumoto, Ikeda-cho, Matsuo, Miyoshi-shi

  • A secluded hot spring inn surrounded by magnificent nature and an open-air bath with natural spring water

  • How about a stay at the Japanese Inn Iya Onsen? With a great location overlooking the Breathtaking view Iya Valley, you can enjoy cuisine made with plenty of nutritious ingredients unique to Shikoku, such as fresh, locally harvested wild plants and river fish. In addition to the observation bath inside the building, you can take a cable car ride to enjoy a secluded open-air bath with a panoramic view of the Iya Valley.

Sunriver Oboke Hotel

1259-1 Yamashirocho Nishiu, Miyoshi

  • Enjoy the flavors made with an abundance of unexplored mountain produce

  • Surrounded by magnificent nature, "Oboke Onsen Sunriver Oboke" offers dishes made with plenty of local fresh vegetables, wild boar meat, and other mountain delicacies. The strong alkaline spring water is said to be so good for the skin that you don't even need lotion, and you can relax and soothe the fatigue of your motorcycle trip in the spacious, large open-air bath.

Hotel Hikyounoyu

401 Oinouchi, Nishiiya-yamamura, Miyoshi

  • A hotel with the area's largest public bath and fine cuisine

  • The large bath, paved with Awa blue stones, is the largest in the area, and open-air bath is also wonderful. There are also medicinal baths and salt saunas. You can also enjoy a colorful Japanese banquet meal made with the seafood of Iya in a private room. This is a relatively reasonable hotel for the area, and there is a shuttle service from JR Oboke Station.
