Tosa Gyoen Hotel

1-4-8 Okawasuji

  • The hotel's proud fish dishes, including seared bonito, are sure to satisfy you.

  • The bonito tataki on the kaiseki menu at this hotel is the best tasting and freshest. The main course of the kaiseki is bonito tataki, and other fresh fish such as shrimp sashimi are also served, so it really feels like a fish tasting comparison. The bath also comes with a sauna and open-air bath. Of the many hotels in the city, this is the most recommended for food and baths.

  • The inn is located 10 minutes by car from Kochi Station, making it easily accessible. They offer plans where you can taste Tosa cuisine, including seared bonito. We recommend this inn as you can enjoy local gourmet food. The bath has an open-open-air bath, and if the weather is good, you can see the stars.

Hotel Takasago

2-1,ekimae-cho

  • You can enjoy authentic seared bonito

  • Hotel Takasago is a convenient hotel for sightseeing, being just a 3-minute walk from Kochi Station. The hotel offers many comfortable, modern Japanese-style rooms, with a focus on spacious Japanese-style rooms. All dinner plans include authentic Kochi seared bonito. The seared bonito, served with the chef's signature ponzu sauce, is exquisite, combining the aroma of the straw-grilled bonito with the refreshing taste of yuzu. We also recommend trying the breakfast, which is made with local ingredients.

Hotel Jyoseikan

2-5-34 Kamimachi2-5-34

  • A long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) you can enjoy bonito cuisine to your heart's content

  • Jyoseikan is a popular Ryokan (Japanese inn) that was established in 1874 and takes pride in its hospitality and cuisine. Guests can enjoy a variety of bonito dishes that can only be found in Kochi, the birthplace of the dish. Among them, the bonito tataki is cooked live at the dinner venue, and the spectacular straw-grilled dish with pillars of flame rising through the glass is a highlight. In addition, top chefs will carefully prepare a variety of local Tosa dishes and luxurious full-course meals.
