  • Minami Sanriku Hotel Kanyo
  • Please tell me about a hotel where all rooms have an ocean view and where a woman traveling alone can feel safe. (If possible, I would prefer an area from Tohoku/Niigata to northern Kanto.)

I use public transportation to get around during my trip. Of course, it would be ideal to have an easily accessible lodging, such as one within walking distance of the nearest station or one that offers a shuttle service. However, if there is an accommodation that you think everyone should definitely visit, I would like to make an effort to go there even if it is a little difficult to access. If you know of any lodgings that can accommodate one person and have a great view from the room, please let me know.

Minami Sanriku Hotel Kanyo

  • This hotel in Kesennuma offers a spectacular view.

  • This hotel is located on the coast of Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture. It is located on the Sanriku coast and has a spectacular view. It also offers a shuttle service from Sendai Station, making it easy to access. This is an accommodation facility that exudes local love, as it offers its own storytelling bus tours of the Great East Japan Earthquake (reservations must be made at the front reception desk by the day before). You can learn about the state of reconstruction, and by staying there you can feel like you have helped with the reconstruction. The meals, mainly local seafood, are also very delicious.

  • It is a big and luxurious hotel.

  • It's a very large hotel with a variety of facilities. All rooms face the ocean, and many black-tailed gulls sometimes fly into the windows. There are two large public baths, both of which are very large. The food was also very delicious. The lobby on each floor also has a sofa facing the ocean, making it a wonderful hotel where you won't get bored. The price was also cheap at 12,000 yen per person per night, which was nice. I would definitely like to visit this hotel again.
