Nara Hotel

1096 Takabatakecho

  • A hotel located on the hilltop of Nara Park

  • It is easily accessible, just a 5-minute drive from Nara Station. There is also a free shuttle bus from Nara Station and Kintetsu Nara Station. It is located on a hill in Nara Park, so you can enjoy nature to the fullest. The classic and modern design is popular with foreigners. I think you will like the Taisho Romantic architecture.

  • A long-established hotel convenient for sightseeing in Nara

  • If you are looking for a hotel that is convenient for touring the main tourist attractions of Nara, we recommend the Nara Hotel. This hotel has excellent access to the tourist attractions of Nara. It is a retro hotel built in wooden architecture during the Meiji period, and is over 100 years old. For breakfast, they serve Yamato tea porridge, a Nara specialty. The hotel is also sometimes used by members of the imperial family. As an aside, deer sometimes come into the garden. This is a hotel that will meet your needs, so please consider it.

  • Nara Guest House

  • If you are a guest from abroad, how about the Nara Hotel? A long-established establishment that has been in business since the Meiji era, it is a hotel that serves as a kind of guesthouse in Nara, with its hospitality. The standard twin room rate is around 15,000 yen per person, which is a reasonable price considering the hotel's prestige. It is located right in front of Nara Park, where Todaiji Temple and Kasuga Taisha Shrine are located, so it is very convenient for visiting tourist spots. This is a recommended hotel.

  • A classic Japanese-style hotel designed by the same architect as Tokyo Station

  • In addition to being the most prestigious hotel in Nara, its central location allows easy access to various temples and shrines on foot. Not only are the food and hospitality impeccable, but as the title says, the hotel was designed by Tatsuno Kingo, a leading Japanese architect of the time, and is a design that incorporates the Western hotel style into Japan while fitting it into the context of Nara, making it a must-see hotel. If you've come all the way from overseas, I recommend staying at the Nara Hotel, with its unique design that can only be found in Nara.

Hotel Nikko Nara

8-1,Sanjo-Hommachi

  • Located in front of the station, it is extremely convenient.

  • The best thing about this hotel is its excellent accessibility, located in front of JR Nara Station. It is extremely convenient as a base for sightseeing, including bus services. There is a large public bath, and the prices are reasonable. I think the JAL brand is also good for overseas customers, as it gives them a sense of security.

  • Directly connected to the JR station

  • If you are planning to visit Nara city, how about staying at Hotel Nikko Nara, which is directly connected to JR Nara Station? Sightseeing in the city is within walking distance, and the bus terminal is adjacent so you can go to Horyuji Temple and other places. In addition to the indoor bathrooms, the hotel also has a large public bath. I personally like the long and spacious bathroom. I think Japanese public baths will also be a good topic of conversation.

If you base yourself near this station, you can easily explore the surrounding area. It is also very convenient as it is easy to access Todaiji Temple and Kasuga Taisha Shrine. The hotel itself is very clean and easy to relax in. The large public bath will soothe your tired body. The delicious breakfast, which features a variety of Nara specialties, is also an attractive option. This is a highly recommended hotel with excellent overall quality.

  • Conveniently located directly connected to JR Nara Station

  • You mentioned that this is a "convenient hotel for touring the main tourist attractions in Nara," so why not consider the Hotel Nikko Nara as one of your accommodation options? I don't know what transportation you will be using, but if you are coming from Kansai Airport, this hotel, which is directly connected to JR Nara Station, would be convenient. It's also a great base for sightseeing. Also, the breakfast offers typical Nara meals such as tea porridge, vegetarian soup, and soy milk hotpot, so it will be able to appeal to foreign guests about Nara.

Nara Royal Hotel

254-1 Hokkeji

  • It was a good value for money hotel

  • I rented a bicycle around Nara city, so I stayed at this hotel because I wanted to relax in the large public bath. It is a natural hot spring. I stayed there in November, and it cost less than 10,000 yen for one night with breakfast. The breakfast Buffet included local dishes such as nyumen and Nara pickles. The souvenir shop had a large selection for a hotel store.

Kasuga Hotel

40 Noboriohji-cho

  • I feel like it's Nara.

  • We recommend the quiet Kasuga Hotel, located next to Kofuku-ji Temple. In particular, if you take a bath in the open-air bath in the evening while looking at the lush garden, you can hear the sound of the bells of Kofuku-ji Temple, and feel the quiet flow of time that is typical of Nara with all your senses. In addition to Kofuku-ji Temple, Todai-ji Temple and Kasuga Taisha Shrine are also within walking distance, making it convenient for sightseeing in Nara.

This is Ryokan (Japanese inn) located on the banks of Sarusawaike Pond in Nara Park Park near Kofukuji Temple. There are Western-style rooms such as twin rooms and Japanese-style rooms. There is also a large public bath. You can enjoy local Nara cuisine such as Asuka nabe and Yamato nikutori chicken.
