Yamashinobu

Manganji 5960

  • A lodging with only 12 rooms on a spacious site of 5,500m2

  • If you are visiting Kyushu, why not try Oda Onsen Yamashinobu in Kumamoto Prefecture? This is a tranquil hot spring inn with only 12 rooms spread across a large 4,500m2 site. The hot spring is a bicarbonate spring rich in metasilicic acid, which is excellent for beautifying the skin. You can enjoy a relaxing bath in the atmospheric large public bath, open-air bath, or private bath. There are two-room Japanese-style rooms and Japanese and Western room, and each room comes with a mini kitchen for your convenience. For dinner, you can enjoy a creative kaiseki meal that changes with the seasons, packed with home-grown vegetables and delicious ingredients from Kumamoto.

  • Recommended accommodations with kitchens in Kyushu

  • This inn is located in Aso District, Kumamoto Prefecture and has a kitchen. There are several plans for staying in rooms with a layout suitable for long stays, such as a 6-tatami Japanese-style room with a simple kitchen. You can also enjoy high-quality hot springs that are rich in skin-beautifying ingredients, an open-air bath made with rounded stones, and a large open-air bath surrounded by magnificent rocks and lush greenery. There are also three private baths that you can use freely. For meals, you can eat kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with local seasonal ingredients such as the specialty horse sashimi, Aka beef, Aso chicken, and teppanyaki grilled local vegetables.

  • A hotel in Kurasako Onsen where you can stay in a cottage with a kitchen

  • This is a hotel in Kurasako Onsen where you can stay in a cottage with a kitchen. BBQ is also available, so if Japanese food doesn't suit you, you can cook for yourself. You can enjoy the natural hot springs as much as you like in the large public bath with an open-air bath. The open-air bath is spacious, so it is highly recommended. • Cottages with kitchens and hot springs in each room

  • If you want a cottage with a kitchen, I recommend it because you don't have to worry about anything. At a hot spring inn, you have to share everything, but at this cottage, the kitchen is attached to the room. In addition, the hot spring is attached to the room (although there are shared ones), so if you are uncomfortable being naked, I think it's a good idea to use this one. You can bring your own food, and there is also a BBQ plan, so you can choose what you like. It even comes with a sauna, and you can use it from less than 10,000 yen, so it's cheap and I would recommend it to foreigners.

Yufuin Inakaso

440-19 Kawakami Yufuincho

  • A homely inn that only accepts four groups per day

  • Located in Yufu City, Oita Prefecture, this is a small inn that only accepts four groups per day. The baths are private, so you can enjoy the hot springs in a private space. You can relax in the natural hot springs while looking at the mountains and rivers. The rooms are 8 tatami Japanese-style rooms with a dining kitchen, bath, and toilet. As they are Japanese-style rooms, we think that overseas guests will also be pleased. It is also easy to access, just a 7-minute taxi ride from Yufuin Station, so even those without a car can feel at ease. The hospitality is at home, so you can feel the warmth of the people and it is sure to be a good memory.

It is easily accessible, just a 10-minute walk from Yufuin Station, and there are plans that include meals.

YUFUIN FLORAL VILLAGE HOTEL

湯布院町川上1503−3

  • Hotel located within Yufuin Floral Village

  • This hotel is located in Yufuin Floral Village, a 15-minute walk from JR Yufuin Station. Yufuin Floral Village has an exotic atmosphere, but there is also a Ghibli character shop, so I think even foreign visitors to Japan will enjoy it. All guest rooms are modern Japanese-style rooms, so you can really feel the Japanese atmosphere. There is a kitchen for guests to use at any time, and cooking utensils can be rented for free. You can also bring your own ingredients. There is also a large public bath where you can enjoy natural hot springs.
