I'm thinking about going on an overnight trip with my family during the New Year holidays. I'm looking for a hot spring inn in Yuzawa, but can you recommend one with an open-air bath?

This hotel is within walking distance of JR Echigo Yuzawa Station. You can see the mountains of Echigo from the hot spring. There are two open-air baths. Even the standard type rooms are spacious, with 8 tatami mats, a spacious veranda, and a two-room floor. Meals are basically seafood.

This hotel is easily accessible, within a 10-minute walk from Echigo Yuzawa Station. A shuttle service is also available. Parking is free, so we recommend coming by car. The hot spring has an indoor bath made of marble and an open-air bath made of rocks. The open-air bath is impressive, with the source spring flowing like a waterfall. Bathing while watching the snow is extremely pleasant. For meals, you can enjoy local ingredients such as sukiyaki made with local Uonuma vegetables and Echigo beef. The rice is Koshihikari from Uonuma. It is also conveniently located close to the ski resort.

It seems to have been renovated, and has a clean, modern Japanese atmosphere. The hot spring is a semi-open-air bath, and the water was a little warm, so I was able to take a long, relaxing bath. Dinner was a Japanese-based course, and breakfast was a Japanese Buffet. The tatami-floored interior is also comfortable and recommended.
