Please tell me a hot spring inn that is close to Nagoya and can be reached by train.
I'm planning to go on a gourmet trip to Nagoya with a friend. I want to stay at a hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) rather than a business hotel. Are there any recommended hot spring inns within about an hour and a half by train from Nagoya?

- It takes about 40 minutes by train from Nagoya Station to get to the inn. You can see Inuyama Castle from both the room and the open-air bath. The Kiso River flows right in front of you, so you can relax. For meals, we had kaiseki cuisine, including teppanyaki and autumn salmon with hoba miso, and everything was very delicious.へゆもんて's answer (Posted on:2024/7/14)

An all-ocean view hotel located an hour away from Nagoya
-
We recommend this hotel in Gamagori Onsen, where you can enjoy a hot spring bath and do some sightseeing. It's easy to get to from Nagoya Station, taking about an hour. They also provide a free shuttle from Gamagori Station. Mikawa Bay stretches out in front of the hotel, and you can see the ocean from the guest rooms, large communal bath, and open-air bath, which is very beautiful and relaxing. The hot spring water is good for your skin, and you can also choose a room with an open-air bath. Near the hotel, there are tourist spots such as the resort complex Laguna Ten Bosch, Takeshima, and Takeshima Aquarium.まりるれろ's answer (Posted on:2024/1/11)

- This hotel is located in Mitani Onsen, Gamagori. It takes just under 50 minutes from Nagoya Station to the nearest station by JR. There is a shuttle service from the nearest station to the hotel. This is a large, long-established inn that represents Mitani Onsen. There is an open-air bath in the spacious public bath, and you can enjoy multiple other baths, including a carbonated bath and a reclining bath.ササラ's answer (Posted on:2024/1/12)

A Japanese-style inn on the banks of the Nagara River in Gifu Prefecture
- The inn is located about an hour from JR Nagoya Station. In stark contrast to the city of Nagoya, this inn is located on the top of Mt. Kinka, on the gentle flow of the clear Nagara River. From the open-air bath, which boasts a view of Gifu Castle and the best scenery along the Nagara River, you can also enjoy the scenery from the large open-air bath, where high-quality hot spring water flows to the brim, creating a sense of openness. As the inn is designated as a nationally important cultural landscape, "Gifu's Cultural Landscape in the Midstream Area of the Nagara River," the view from the rooms is also soothing. Some rooms have open-air baths, and the meals are kaiseki cuisine, unique to an inn run by a family of cormorant fishermen who eat rare wild sweetfish from the Nagara River.シャンちゃん's answer (Posted on:2024/4/21)

Chita Peninsula gourmet food and panoramic baths
- Minamichita Onsen is a recommended hot spring resort, located about 1.5 hours by train from Nagoya, with good views from all hotels. There is a free shuttle from the nearest station, Meitetsu Kawa Station, so it is easy to get to even without a car. The large public bath has an observation bath, which is a pleasant bath with a view of Ise Bay. If your budget allows, there are rooms with open-air baths, from which you can also enjoy the ocean view. You can also enjoy luxurious seafood such as abalone and spiny lobster, which are Chita Peninsula specialty delicacies, and it is sure to be a great memory to combine with your sightseeing in Nagoya.ysm's answer (Posted on:2024/1/22)

An inn boasting views of the Nagara River and Mt. Kinka
- It's in Gifu Prefecture, but it's convenient because it's about an hour by train from Nagoya Station. There are about 14 rooms, but the views of the Nagara River and Kinka Mountain are wonderful. You can also see Gifu Castle from the open-air bath. It's a reasonable inn with a room rate of around 10,000 yen, where you can relax without being too pretentious.hahata's answer (Posted on:2024/1/11)
