  • I recommend it

  • Dinner is sometimes served buffet style on weekends and during the summer holidays. They have sushi and steak, and the best part is the all-you-can-drink beer and cocktails. It was delicious and I enjoyed it. The baths were also great, with a variety of different types to choose from.

  • It's near Konpira Shrine.

  • This hotel is located at the foot of the road to Konpira Shrine. The best thing about this hotel is the open-air bath on the top floor. I stayed there in winter, so I was able to bathe in the open-air bath early in the morning when it was snowing. The temperature difference was so pleasant that I soaked in it until I got hot!

  • It is close to the entrance to Konpira Shrine.

  • Kotohira Onsen is small, so there aren't many large baths. However, this inn has a relatively large bath. It's not an open-air bath, but you can enjoy the view of the green mountains through a huge glass window.

In addition to the fun large hot spring baths, such as the Hana-no-yu bath with floating roses, there are also private baths so you can relax and enjoy the hot springs. There are also a wide variety of meal plans, which are highly recommended.

  • Why not enjoy Visiting hot springs within the hotel?

  • There are a total of 15 different baths, and you can enjoy Visiting hot springs in different baths throughout the building. Although it is only for women, there is also a Dendrobium flower bath during the day and a rose flower bath at night, allowing you to immerse yourself in an elegant atmosphere. We kept the meal basic, but it was hearty and we were able to enjoy plenty of mountain and sea delicacies. The meal was served in a stylish Kappo dining room, where you could enjoy watching the cooking. The rice cooked in the hearth was also delicious.

There are a variety of baths in the hotel, including a garden bath with 100% natural hot spring water and a large bath, so you can enjoy bathing at your leisure. The inn's proud creative kaiseki course is a masterpiece that uses plenty of seasonal ingredients from the Seto Inland Sea, such as pilgrim's bowl and seared bonito.

  • A well-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) with a history of 400 years.

  • I recommend Kotohira Kadan. It's about a 15-minute walk from Kotohira Station. They also provide shuttle service. It is one of the oldest Ryokan (Japanese inn) in the area, boasting a 400-year history. The building has a calm atmosphere in the Sukiya-style style, and has been used by famous writers. The hot spring has a great view from the large bath, and the open-air bath surrounded by bamboo forest is very comfortable. This is the most recommended Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Konpira Onsen town.

  • Enjoy the extraordinary

  • How about this inn, which boasts accommodation in a independent guest cottages sukiya-style building? There is a stroll-style Japanese garden, and you can see Sanuki Fuji from the large public bath. The large public bath is spacious and has a great view, and the open-air bath has a sense of openness, as if you are in nature. As for the food, I think you can enjoy the taste of Kagawa. You can enjoy meat from Sanuki.

  • There is a bathtub with rose petals floating in it.

  • It is a 15-minute walk from JR Kotohira Station, and reservations can be made on the day, with free shuttle service available. The large public bath is spacious, and you can enjoy the scenery while looking at "Konpirasan" from the open-air bath. The women's bath even has a bathtub with rose petals floating in it. The rooms are basically Japanese-style, but they also have the trendy Japanese-style modern room. The cuisine is centered around seafood made with the bounty of the Seto Inland Sea. You can see the Sanuki Plain from the upper floors.
