Hotel Grandmer Sankaisou

1, Naruto, Aza, Maito-machi

  • A hotel perfect for leaf peeping.

  • Along the Gono Line, you can feel the atmosphere of the north. If you want to see autumn leaves in the Shirakami Mountains, the Hotel Grand Mer Sankaisou was great. It is the most luxurious hotel in the area. I was impressed by the view of the majestic Sea of Japan from the open-air bath.

  • Beautiful sea view

  • A great location where you can see the ocean from the rooms and baths. The food was delicious and had a wide variety of dishes for both breakfast and dinner. There was a Tsugaru shamisen performance when I stayed there, which was fun. There were various drinks available in the lounge. The local sake was also delicious.

  • Enjoy the mountain and sea views

  • This hotel is located along the Gono Line, and offers a view of the mountains and the sea. There was a guidebook for the Shirakami-Sanchi trekking course nearby. The hotel was very spacious, with a Japanese-Western style interior, and had a classical and retro atmosphere. The hot spring was also spacious, and I enjoyed the view of the sea from the indoor bath.

  • Feel the romance of the Taisho era

  • I was able to enjoy seafood, mountain produce, and hot springs while looking out at the Sea of Japan. The nearest station is Ajigasawa Station on the JR Gono Line, but there was a shuttle bus to the inn. The inside of the building has a Taisho-era romantic atmosphere and is decorated with retro and stylish interiors.

  • Hotels in Nishitsugaru, Aomori Prefecture

  • I recommend "Hotel Grand Mer Sankaisou". The hotel is located in a magnificent location surrounded by the Sea of Japan, Tsugaru Fuji "Mt. Iwaki", and the World Heritage Site "Shirakami-Sanchi". The food was very satisfying, with a menu that included local cuisine. The hot spring was also relaxing, with a view of the sea.

  • Rooms and baths with ocean views

  • How about Hotel Grand Mer Sankaisou? The nearest station is Ajigasawa Station on the JR Gono Line, and there is a free shuttle from there, so it's very convenient. The room was an elegant Japanese-style room, and we could see the ocean from the room. The large communal bath and open-air bath were both Japanese and Western-style, and it was great to be able to see the ocean from the bath. The food was also a buffet, mainly using local Aomori ingredients, and we could enjoy freshly cooked food in the open kitchen.

Koganezaki Furofushi Onsen

Henashi Shimokiyotaki 15-1

  • An open-air bath with Breathtaking view sea view

  • We recommend the Koganezaki Furofushi Onsen. It is a single inn located at the foot of the Shirakami Mountains, a World Heritage Site. The open-air bath offers Breathtaking view of the Sea of Japan, and has been featured in the media, including on TV travel shows. The nearest station is Tonosaku Station on the Gono Line, but there is also a shuttle bus from WeSpa Tsubakiyama Station, where the Resort Shirakami stops.

Awone Shirakami Juniko

Oaza Matsukamishimo Hamamatsu14

  • Comprehensive resort hotel near Lake Juniko

  • If you are touring the Shirakami Mountains in Aomori Prefecture, I recommend "Aone Shirakami Juniko." It is a 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk from Juniko Station. It is a comprehensive resort hotel surrounded by nature and has a very large site. It felt like a small theme park. You can also enjoy cottages and Japanese-style rooms. The food was delicious and locally produced, and I was satisfied. There are also guided trekking guides for Juniko and Shirakami Forest Bathing, so I think it was the perfect hotel for our purpose.
