  • Boro Noguchi Hakodate Hotel
  • I want to see the night view of Mt. Hakodate in Hokkaido and take a bath in the hot springs at Yunokawa Onsen. Please tell me the best place to stay for a solo male traveler.

I'm going to Hakodate to see the night view from Mt. Hakodate, one of the three most beautiful night views in Japan. I want to stay at Yunokawa Onsen, but can you recommend a hot spring inn for a man traveling alone? Preferably one with breakfast.

Boro Noguchi Hakodate Hotel

1-17-22 Yunokawa

  • The view from the open-air bath is amazing.

  • It is less than 30 minutes by car from Mount Hakodate. There is an open-air observation bath on the roof of Ryokan (Japanese inn), where you can soak in the hot spring while watching the night view. The guest rooms are, in a word, stylish. Both the Japanese-style rooms and the Western-style rooms have a modern design and calm color scheme. The meals are mainly seafood and are original creative dishes.

  • An inn with an open-air bath where you can see a Breathtaking view view of the cityscape

  • This is an inn that accepts single guests. There is a large public bath and an open-air bath with Breathtaking view view, from which you can see the cityscape of Hakodate. After the bath, you can enjoy free beer and ice cream on the top floor (during business hours). The meals are also very satisfying, with kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )centered around seafood. This is an inn with excellent service that makes it a comfortable place to travel alone.

  • A spacious 30m2 single room is available for solo travelers.

  • This inn is located about 15 minutes by car from JR Hakodate Station. There is a plan available for solo travelers that allows you to use a spacious 30 square meter single room. The bath has high salt content water, and the open-air observation bath offers a panoramic view of the Hakodate cityscape. For meals, you can enjoy Japanese and Western kaiseki cuisine using ingredients from Hokkaido and Aomori.

  • The best place to stay for a solo male traveller in Yunokawa Onsen

  • This inn is located in Yunokawa Onsen and can accommodate single guests. From here, you can drive to Mount Hakodate in about 20 minutes. You can also enjoy the high-temperature, highly salty salt spring water in the open-air bath and large bath, from which you can see the ridge of Mount Hakodate during the day and the starry sky at night. In addition, at the sky lounge "SKY SALON BOUKYOU" on the top 13th floor, you can enjoy draft beer, frozen highballs, soft drinks, and soft serve ice cream made with raw milk from Hokkaido. As for food, you can enjoy Japanese and Western kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with carefully selected seafood and ingredients from Hokkaido.

  • A hotel in Yunokawa Onsen with a view of the ocean

  • This hot spring inn is located on a hill in Yunokawa Onsen, and the view of the sea and city of Hakodate from the observation bath is highly recommended. The rooms are modern Japanese-Japanese and Western room, so you can relax. The meals are full of fresh seafood from Hakodate, so you will enjoy it. Since it is a one-person accommodation, it is perfect for a casual hot spring trip.

  • An inn with a Breathtaking view night view from the observation bath

  • The view from the open-air observation bath is Breathtaking view, and you can see the night view of Hakodate and planes taking off from Hakodate Airport. After the bath, they serve draft beer and ice cream, which makes you feel like you've gotten a little something extra. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the service was generally good, so I enjoyed it very much.

  • A luxury Ryokan (Japanese inn) for a luxurious solo trip

  • This is Ryokan (Japanese inn) worthy of treating yourself. Not only is the hospitality excellent, but there are also luxurious rooms for single guests that are spacious and offer an extraordinary experience. The price is a little on the higher side, but the view from the room is great, and the open-air observation bath on the top floor is unobstructed and offers a truly open and magnificent view. Breakfast is not Buffet, but rather a delicious meal where you can choose between Japanese and Western dishes.

  • Breakfast includes squid sashimi, and you can stay in a spacious 10 tatami Japanese-style room at a reasonable price.

  • Overall, it is a high quality hotel. First of all, there are two large baths with different themes on the first and seventh floors. The "Hishi-no-yu" on the first floor has two types of baths, an indoor bath and an open-air bath. The scent of the rock bath and the cypress bath is pleasant. The women's bath is called "Hana-no-yu", which has three baths: a rock bath, a cypress bath, a garden bath, and an open-air bath. There are saunas for both men and women. The men 's bath on the seventh floor has a stained glass bath called Hokuto, and the women's bath is called Tennogawa, both of which are full of atmosphere. The meal for this plan comes with a Japanese meal and squid sashimi. Depending on the COVID-19 situation, Buffet may be provided.

  • A charming inn in Hakodate Yunokawa Onsen

  • This hot spring inn is located in Hakodate's Yunokawa Onsen. The inn itself is not particularly new, but it is well-cleaned and you can relax and unwind. The hot spring is also highly recommended as it is a very warm bath, and the meals are also great as you can fully enjoy seafood caught in the sea off Hakodate.
