Please tell me about a hotel with a hot spring where I can stay comfortably as a solo traveller.
I want to take a relaxed solo trip. I'd like to know of a place with a hot spring where I can stay alone without feeling hesitant. I'd like a place where the baths and meals are satisfying. There are no restrictions on the area. Please let me know your recommendations.
10Hotel rankings chosen by people
- I recommend the Hakodate International Hotel in Hakodate, Hokkaido. It is a large, old hotel that is often used by business people. The breakfast Buffet offers plenty of Hakodate gourmet food. You can get a panoramic view of Hakodate Bay from the observation bath. The men's bath also has an open-air bath. The hotel is located in the middle of Yunokawa Onsen and Yachigashira Onsen, so you can easily get there by train, and you can also walk to tourist attractions such as the Red Brick Warehouse, Motomachi, and the morning market in front of the station.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2015/1/ 7)

A homely inn where you can feel at ease even if you are traveling alone
- It was a very nice inn that kindly accepted me, even though I was traveling alone as a woman and checked in late at night!! It is located near Yudanaka Station in Nagano Prefecture. In the winter, a stove and a kotatsu are provided in the room, and the kotatsu is so comfortable that I didn't feel like going to the bath. The hot springs are also wonderful, and you can enjoy apple baths with lots of apples floating in them, a Nagano specialty. It is a small inn with no groups, so you can relax. I only ordered breakfast, but it was a traditional Japanese home-cooked meal that was quite satisfying if you don't want luxury.ゆん's answer (Posted on:2015/1/11)

Enjoy hot springs and meals at the hotel on the ranch
- I recommend "Nasu Onsen Hotel Floracion Nasu." It is located outside the hot spring town of Nasu Yumoto. The hotel is located inside a ranch, so you can enjoy a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Since it is a hotel, it is no problem for solo travelers. The hot spring is brownish, unlike the milky white hot springs of Nasu Yumoto. It is very easy to enter and you can soak in it for a long time. It was a hot spring that suited me well. I was able to expect a detox effect. The food was a half-Buffet style and was delicious.555ファイズ's answer (Posted on:2015/1/11)

Business hotels with hot springs in Kagoshima Prefecture
- A friend from Kyushu recommended this hotel to me when I was on a business trip to Kagoshima Prefecture. It's a business hotel, but it also has a hot spring. You can eat out, of course, but the sushi I had at the hotel restaurant was cheap and delicious, with unusual fish.ゆあ's answer (Posted on:2016/11/24)

Luxury accommodation in Shirahone Onsen
- I recommend "Awanoya" in Shirahone Onsen, Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. The biggest attraction of this Ryokan (Japanese inn) is the open-air bath adjacent to the building. It is designed to blend in with nature. It is surrounded by greenery, so you can see the autumn leaves in the fall and snow in the winter.るき's answer (Posted on:2016/11/ 2)

A luxurious solo trip to Kinosaki Onsen
- I stayed alone at Kinosaki Onsen in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture at the end of the year a few years ago. Even though I was traveling alone, they provided me with a normal room just like other people, and they brought meals to my room. It probably depends on the plan, but they will accommodate requests for other meals you want to eat besides the set meals (although I didn't ask for them). Since it's Kinosaki Onsen, the indoor bath is small and you can't expect much, but soto-yu (public bathhouses) are great, so I don't think the hot springs will be a problem. However, the building was built in the 1950s, so I'm concerned about drafts.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2015/1/ 7)

Open-air bath with a view of Mt. Fuji in Hakone
- Hakone has many Ryokan (Japanese inn) that are okay for solo travelers, but this is one of the more affordable options. There are plans where you can see Mt. Fuji from your room, but the view of Mt. Fuji from the open-air bath is also wonderful at any time of the day. You can also choose a course meal at a leisurely restaurant, so it all depends on your mood. There is also a free shuttle bus to nearby tourist facilities, so you can enjoy it at your own pace.はなママ's answer (Posted on:2015/1/13)

You can easily stay alone even in a luxury Ryokan (Japanese inn).
- There are single rooms available. Unlike a business hotel, the rooms are more suitable for a high-end Ryokan (Japanese inn). Although it is a high-end Ryokan (Japanese inn), it was nice to be able to stay there alone without any worries. The hotel is located right next to the Dogo Onsen main building. The inn has a Noh stage, which I enjoyed at dinner time. The quality of the hot spring water was very good. The food was also delicious, with local Iyo cuisine made with ingredients from the Seto Inland Sea. The table was Western-style, placed on a tatami mat. The staff were friendly and polite.ぶた's answer (Posted on:2015/1/13)

It's close to Osaka city and offers a Breathtaking view night view!
- Minoh Kanko Hotel is a hotel where you can enjoy both nature and the city's night view. It is relatively close to Osaka city, and the natural open-air bath on the hotel rooftop is incredibly comfortable. The night view of Osaka city is also Breathtaking view, so I highly recommend it. I think it's a hotel where you can easily stay even by yourself.げっちゃん's answer (Posted on:2015/1/12)

Enjoy Akiu Onsen in Sendai City
- There are single rooms available, so you can stay here without worrying if you are traveling alone. There is a free shuttle bus from Sendai Station, so you can enjoy sightseeing around Sendai, so the location is good. The meals were Buffet style, so I was able to enjoy them at my leisure. The garden-style open-air bath was also very atmospheric and wonderful.かじゅある's answer (Posted on:2015/1/10)
