- Every year, I go to Yunokawa Onsen in Hokkaido for a therapeutic bath. The large communal bath on the first floor of this hotel is spacious and relaxing. There is also an open-air garden bath and sauna. For dinner, I requested a multi-course kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )and was able to enjoy it leisurely in my room. Breakfast was a buffet with Japanese and Western dishes and a variety of desserts. For dinner, I also had the famous "Hakodate Shio Ramen". The facilities are well-equipped with a shop and salon, so I was very satisfied.ステレンキョウ's answer (Posted on:2015/1/ 1)

A long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) near one of Japan's three most famous hot springs
- The reason I want to go back to Gero Onsen Yunoshimakan again is because you can experience the history and tradition of this inn in various ways. The building is a registered tangible cultural property, and has a stately appearance and is very comfortable. The open-air hot spring bath is located on the side of a small hill, and overlooks the hot spring town of Gero. Furthermore, the bath is designed in a garden style, so I was able to soak in the water very calmly.のむた's answer (Posted on:2014/12/27)

Luxurious bathing in bath to view the snow at Kurasan Onsen
- bath to view the snow in winter is the best. From December, you can see frost-covered trees in Zao, Yamagata Prefecture, and I remember feeling ecstatic after soaking my frozen body in Zao Onsen. The indoor bath is made of wood, has a nice scent, and you can feel the warmth of the wood. The windows are all glass, giving it an open feeling, and the bath is spacious.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/12/27)

A resort hotel where you can relax and forget about everything else
- This hotel is located about a 15-minute drive from JR Kaga Onsen Station in Ishikawa Prefecture. It is a little independent guest cottages from the hot spring town of Kaga Onsen. There is almost nothing around, but the hot springs are open from early morning until late at night, and the hotel has plenty of amusements such as a pool, karaoke room, and table tennis room, so you can basically just relax inside the hotel. There is a lake in front of the hotel, and the view in the early morning shrouded in morning mist is mysterious.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/12/25)

There are luxurious guest rooms with open-air baths and foot baths.
- This hotel in Hakodate, Hokkaido, had a great large public bath where you could relax while looking out at the Tsugaru Strait. There was also a welcome drink. I stayed in a room facing the ocean, which had an open-air bath and foot bath, but even in my room I was able to spend a luxurious time bathing in the hot spring while looking out at the sea. The futon was a Tempur brand and was very comfortable to sleep on. The buffet, which featured locally produced foods, had a wide variety of items, and there was a wide selection of delicious desserts. The service was excellent and I would definitely stay at this hotel again.ぷるまり's answer (Posted on:2014/12/26)

View the Sea of Okhotsk while soaking in Utoro Onsen
- In February, Utoro Onsen holds an event called "Aurora Fantasy." This recreates the aurora in three patterns, but whether you can see it or not depends on the weather at the time. I stayed at the "Shiretoko Daiichi Hotel" on that occasion, and the large public bath was very spacious and open, with a panoramic view of the Sea of Okhotsk. The room was spacious and the view was great, so it's a hotel I'd like to stay at again if I go to Utoro again.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/12/25)

Take a bath in a hot spring while looking out at the ocean in Aomori
- I saw it on TV before and decided to go. It's Ryokan (Japanese inn) on the Sea of Japan side of Aomori Prefecture. It's good value for money, about 22,000 yen for two people with two meals in a Japanese-style room. There is an open-air bath by the sea, and you can watch the sunset while listening to the sound of the waves. It's recommended in the cold season so you can bathe for a long time, but it might be better to avoid the middle of winter.PP's answer (Posted on:2014/12/28)
