  • Ryokan Wakaba
  • A hotel in Kurokawa Onsen that offers private rooms and in-room dining for married couple

My wife and I would like to relax at Kurokawa Onsen. We would like to have dinner in a private room or in our room so that we can spend the time without any worries. Do you have any recommendations for accommodation? We are looking for a quiet accommodation with a calm atmosphere.

Ryokan Wakaba

  • Enjoy a private space with in-room dining and a private bath

  • This is Ryokan (Japanese inn) that started as a sushi restaurant. I stayed in Japanese and Western room in the main building and ate in my room. The kaiseki cuisine included horse sashimi, red beef steak, and sakura natto. There is a private bath, so married couple can enjoy the hot springs together.

Fumoto Ryokan

  • A rustic, quiet inn

  • You can enjoy "Higo beef hoe-grilled", "horse sashimi", "mountain vegetable dishes" and other dishes in a private room. They are particular about using local ingredients and hand-made dishes, and the seasoning was gentle. The rooms are casual and bright compared to other Kurokawa hotels. They are built in a pure Japanese style, reminiscent of old country houses. The inn is surrounded by nature, making it quiet and relaxing.

  • A charming inn surrounded by quiet mountains

  • I recommend "Kurokawaso." It is a charming inn surrounded by quiet mountains a little independent guest cottages from Kurokawa Onsen town. The open-air bath with milky green water, which is rare in Kurokawa Onsen, is very tasteful and recommended. Dinner was served in a private room at the dining area, and it was a relaxing stay.
