  • Toyako Manseikaku Hotel Lakeside Terrace
  • Where can I stay at a hot spring inn where I can enjoy the snow?

I live in Okinawa. It doesn't snow in Okinawa, so I want to enjoy winter to the fullest and stay at a warm inn in a snowy area. Please tell me an inn with a hot spring where my husband and I can enjoy the snow to the fullest. We will be traveling by plane, so it would be great if there was an inn near the airport with a direct flight from Naha Airport. Our budget is less than 30,000 yen per person per night.

Toyako Manseikaku Hotel Lakeside Terrace

21 Toyako-Onsen, Toyako-cho, Abuta-kun

  • A resort hotel on the shores of Lake Toya.

  • I recommend Toyako Onsen in Hokkaido. This is a resort hotel on the shores of Lake Toya, and you can get a panoramic view of the lake from your room. The room was a clean Japanese and Western room style. You can bathe in the hot spring while looking at the lake in front of you. There is also an open-air bath and sauna, so the facilities are very well-equipped. The food used is made with ingredients unique to Hokkaido, and the live kitchen where the food is cooked right in front of you is a treat for the eyes.

Hotel 24 Sweets HAKUBA

5270 Hokujo, Hakuba-mura, Kitaazumi-gun

  • The natural 100% natural hot spring

  • Although it is a bit far from Matsumoto Airport in Nagano Prefecture, this hotel allows you to fully enjoy the charm of Hakuba. Hakuba has many famous ski resorts with vast slopes. The recommended ski resort is Happo-one Ski Resort. It is within walking distance and in a great location. The proud Happo 100% natural hot spring will soothe your travel fatigue. There are Japanese-style and Western-style rooms, so you can choose the room you like.

Hotel Park Hills

Shirogane-onsen,Biei-cho,Kamikawa-gun

  • Located at the entrance to Shirogane Onsen

  • This hotel is located at the entrance to Shirogane Onsen. There are car and bus services available from Asahikawa Airport. The famous "Blue Pond" is also nearby (although in winter it is a white pond due to snow), and you can also take the ropeway to Mount Asahidake, making this a convenient hotel. In the Japanese-style open-air bath, you can feel the snowstorm of nature while soothing your body and mind in the Shirogane Onsen.

  • Enjoy the snowy scenery at Jozankei Onsen

  • First, there is a direct flight from Naha Airport to New Chitose Airport. From there, take the JR train to Sapporo Station. Then take a bus to Jozankei Onsen, the inner sanctum of the area. Once you get there, you'll be greeted by a world of snow. You can enjoy the winter scenery of Jozankei from the spacious observation bath, and enjoy the snowy scenery while feeling the cold of winter in the open-air bath.

Hotel Abashirikoso

78 Yobito

  • Enjoy not only snow but also ice

  • If you want to experience snow, I recommend Hokkaido. It's hard to find hot springs near large airports, so this inn is close to Memanbetsu Airport or Nakashibetsu Airport in eastern Hokkaido. It's about 20 minutes from Memanbetsu Airport, so you can get there by taxi. This inn has a panoramic view of Lake Abashiri from the rooms. You can enjoy the snowy scenery of the trees surrounding the lake and the frozen scenery of the lake in front of you at the same time. married couple can also enjoy the lake from the private bath.

Mombetsu Prince Hotel

7-3-26 Honcho, Mombetsu

  • Drift ice in the harsh winter

  • If you're in Hokkaido, why not venture to Eastern Hokkaido? You'll have to transfer from Haneda, but there are direct flights from Haneda to Monbetsu. You can experience Hokkaido without the tourist attractions. The hotel rates were cheap, about 7,000 to 8,000 yen for one night with two meals. The bath was small, with an open-air bath and an indoor bath, but it was very relaxing.

Takinoya Bekkan Tamanoyu

Noboribetsu Onsen 31

  • There's lots of fresh seafood

  • Why not venture to Noboribetsu Onsen in Hokkaido? From New Chitose Airport, you can travel by JR or bus. The food here is delicious, with seafood such as grilled scallops, assorted sashimi, and fish hotpot. You can enjoy the white snow scenery while soaking in the milky hot spring in a small open-air bath. There is also a private open-air bath, so married couple can use it together. There is Japanese hearth in the lobby, which gives it a traditional Japanese feel.

Kissho Yamanaka

No. 14-3, 1-chome, Higashimachi, Yamazono Onsen

  • There is an open-air bath Breathtaking view in Ishikawa Prefecture.

  • Yamanaka Onsen in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, is a hot spring resort located in the mountains, about a 35-minute taxi ride from Komatsu Airport, and you can expect to see snow when you get there. From the gazebo-style open-air bath jutting out over the Daishoji River, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of nature, so on snowy days you can enjoy a wonderful silver world. There is also a private open-air bath, although you can't see much of the view. The rooms facing the mountain are quiet and have a wonderful view. For dinner, we had delicious Kaga cuisine at the restaurant.

Hotel La Vista Daisetsuzan

Higashikawacho, Asahidakeonsen

  • Take a bath while feeling the nature of Mount Daisetsu

  • I recommend "La Vista Daisetsuzan" in Hokkaido. The open-air bath while watching the snow is the best. The open-air bath has Lying-down bath and a rock bath. The scent of the cypress bath in the indoor bath was very relaxing. There is also a private open-air bath, so you can feel the Hokkaido winter up close. For meals, there was French and Japanese kaiseki cuisine.

Naruko Hotel

36 Yumoto, Naruko Onsen, Osaki-shi

  • A hotel with a great view located on a hill in Naruko Onsen Village

  • It is about an hour and a half by car from Yamagata Airport or Sendai Airport. If you take the train, it is easily accessible from JR Naruto Onsen Station. It is located on the mountain side of Miyagi Prefecture, so it is a snowy area. At Naruko Hotel, you can enjoy hot springs from three different sources. The main public bath is very large and looks like a pool. There are also various open-air baths and private baths where you can enjoy the hot springs.
