  • Atami Sekitei
  • Accommodation in Atami where you can enjoy a private bath

I'm thinking of going to Atami Onsen with my boyfriend. I want to enjoy a private bath at a hotel that costs over 30,000 yen. Do you have any recommendations?

Atami Sekitei

6-17 Wada-machi

  • Enjoy a luxurious time in a private open-air bath

  • The private open-air bath is a beautiful blend of garden trees and rocks, allowing you to spend a luxurious time. For meals, you can enjoy Kyoto-style kaiseki cuisine made with local seafood and mountain produce, which is a feast for the eyes as well as the tongue. There is also a Japanese tea cafe inside the building, where you can relax and enjoy Japanese sweets.

Atami Onsen Sakuraya Ryokan

Higashi Kaigancho 9-11

  • Enjoy an elegant stay at a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Atami

  • This is a luxury Ryokan (Japanese inn) that costs over 30,000 yen per night. The rooms with open-air baths are 12.5 tatami mat rooms, 5 tatami mat rooms, and a reception room. The open-air bath attached to the room is large enough for two adults to bathe comfortably. For meals, we had kaiseki cuisine in our room, mainly seafood, due to the local nature of the place.

Atamionsen Yuyado Ichibanchi

1-2 Kasugacho

  • There are two private open-air baths available by reservation.

  • In addition to the large public bath using their own hot spring source in Atami, you can also enjoy an open-air bath and a private bath, so it is recommended for couples. For meals, there was a wide variety of delicious gourmet food, such as lava-grilled Japanese beef, boiled golden-eyed snapper, tempura, and handmade tofu. There were also rooms with open-air baths with different atmospheres.

  • Two tasteful private baths

  • Two private baths are available. They are not located inside the building, but in the spacious 13,000m2 Japanese garden, which is very tasteful. For a stay of 30,000 yen or more per night, there is a plan that includes two meals, where you can enjoy kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )with high-quality ingredients such as spiny lobster, abalone, and golden-eyed snapper. You can enjoy your meal in your room.

New Tomiyoshi

  • An inn with a large private open-air bath for two

  • Located in Minami Atami, this small inn has 22 rooms and is located across the prefectural road from the sea. There are four open-air baths with natural hot spring water, from which you can see Sagami Bay. You can enjoy a scenic view of Hatsushima Island in the distance. Since the water flows freely, you can bathe 24 hours a day. In addition, in a separate building, there are three baths with indoor baths and garden-style private open-air baths. There is also a private sauna. The dinner kaiseki is a luxurious dish with a boat-shaped platter of more than five kinds of sashimi and high-quality seafood and mountain delicacies. The breakfast is Japanese food, but the standard dishes are made with local ingredients, and the side dishes such as boiled whitebait and tsukudani shrimp go well with rice, so you won't stop eating. If you have a budget of 30,000 yen or more, you can stay in a room with an open-air bath, but the open-air bath in the room is usually small. It is too tight for two people, so I recommend an inn with many private baths.
