Hatcho no Yu Hot Spring Ryokan

876 Kawamata, Nikko

  • A hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) where you can experience the feeling of being in a hidden hot spring

  • We recommend Hatcho-no-Yu Ryokan. This is a recommended hotel for those who want to enjoy hiking in nature and experience the four seasons of Japan, with waterfalls and suspension bridges in the surrounding area. The open-air bath Ryokan (Japanese inn) of course filled with hot spring water, but you can enjoy the view of the flowing waterfall surrounded by trees. There are three Mixed-Gender Hot Springs baths, and we hope you will enjoy each one, but there are also designated bathing times for women only. The view of the waterfall from the baths built into the cliffs right next to it is spectacular!

  • A mysterious hot spring known as the last hidden hot spring in the Kanto region

  • If you want to enjoy a secret hot spring in Kinugawa Onsen, we recommend Hatcho-no-Yu Hotel. This hot spring inn is located in the middle of nature, and the view from the open-air bath is amazing. The hot spring source is a free-flowing hot spring that springs up naturally, so you can enjoy forest bathing while bathing in the hot spring. This hotel offers a mysterious and wonderful hot spring, which could be called "the last secret hot spring in the Kanto region." There are Western-style lodge rooms, but if you are staying in Japan, we recommend the Japanese-style rooms in the main building.

  • Hot spring with a waterfall view

  • It's not Kinugawa Onsen, but officially it's Okukinu Onsen, but there's no doubt that it's a secret hot spring. The open-air bath with the quiet, flowing waterfall is amazing. For meals, they serve wild boar hotpot, which is something you probably won't usually get to eat. It didn't have any smell and was very delicious.

Kinugawa Onsen Hana no Yado Matsuya Ryokan

19 Fujihara Kinugawaonsen

  • The atmosphere of the open-air bath is really great, so I recommend it!

  • It is a 3-minute walk from the nearest station, Kinugawa Koen Station, so it is recommended as it can be reached even without a car. There are various types of rooms, including rooms with a panoramic view of the Kinugawa River and rooms with open-air baths. You can fully enjoy the Japanese atmosphere. There are three types of hot springs: a large bath, an open-air bath, and a private family bath. The large bath has a large window from which you can soak in the water while looking out at the nature of the Kinugawa River. The open-air bath feels like a hidden hot spring surrounded by nature. Meals are a Japanese kaiseki course meal with local seasonal ingredients. If you contact them in advance, they will take care of allergies as much as possible.
