  • Wadoh Ryokan
  • Chichibu Onsen | A weekend date for couples! A recommended hot spring inn where you can relax independent guest cottages from the hustle and bustle of the city

I'm going to Chichibu Onsen with partner on the weekend. I want to get independent guest cottages from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax surrounded by nature. Can you tell me about a hot spring inn with a budget of around 20,000 yen per night, an open-air bath with a good view, and delicious food?

Wadoh Ryokan

  • The historic Yakushi no Yu has six baths that will soothe your body and mind!

  • Wado Onsen, which has a long history and was discovered during the time of Takeda Shingen, is known as Yakushi no Yu for its high healing powers. You can enjoy this hot spring 24 hours a day (excluding cleaning time of about an hour). There is an indoor rock bath and an open-air bath full of greenery behind it, and in the autumn when the leaves change color, a sea of orange spreads out before your eyes. There is also an indoor cypress bath and a large open-air bath next to it, and on clear nights you can gaze at the stars. There is also a private semi-open-air bath for two and a private rock sauna, both of which are free of charge. Meals are served in the mountains, but you can enjoy kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )with plenty of seafood, a country breakfast in the morning, and B-grade gourmet food such as miso potatoes.

  • A hot spring inn in Chichibu Onsen with an open-air bath and delicious meals

  • This is a budget-friendly inn surrounded by nature. The hot springs are simple sulfur cold mineral springs that are effective against poor circulation, and you can enjoy them in the open-air baths while feeling the breeze from the Yokose River, as well as the rock bath "Iwagyou" made from Chichibu serpentine and the cypress bath "Hiougi" made from ancient cypress. As for food, you can eat "Wado Kaiseki," a kaiseki meal made with carefully selected seasonal ingredients. The specially ordered salt-grilled river fish (sweetfish, trout, and yamame) are particularly delicious.

  • You can relax in the indoor bath and the open-air bath.

  • This inn has an indoor bath made of cypress wood and an open-air bath made of rocks. Both are tasteful and make you want to relax in them. The meals are satisfying, with banquet meals made with ingredients from Chichibu. The cost is also reasonable, so I recommend it.

  • You can stay in a room with an open-air bath for two at a reasonable price.

  • Yunoyado Wado has a wonderful open-air bath where you can see the green scenery and the flowing Yokose River. There is also a large glass-walled bath and a private bath. You can stay in a room with an open-air bath for two at a reasonable price. You can also use the bedrock bath. Dinner is a kaiseki meal made with local seasonal ingredients, which you can enjoy at your leisure in your room or in the private dining area. A free shuttle is available from Wado Kurodani Station on the Chichibu Railway.
