  • The Prince Hakone Lake Ashinoko
  • I want to stay at a hotel in Hakone with a view of Mt. Fuji

I want to see Mt. Fuji from Hakone, so I'm going to Hakone with my family of four in the winter. Can you recommend a hotel in Hakone where we can see Mt. Fuji well and eat delicious Japanese food?

The Prince Hakone Lake Ashinoko

144 Motohakone, Hakone-Machi, Ashigarashimo-Gun

  • The annex has a hot spring facility where you can enjoy a view of Lake Ashi.

  • The view of Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji from the room was Breathtaking view. Mt. Fuji looked especially beautiful in the morning and it was very refreshing. For breakfast, we had a Japanese/Western Buffet, but you can also choose a Japanese meal. There is a main building and an annex, and the hot spring is in the annex. The hot spring was spacious and we were able to relax and enjoy it. The open-air bath with a view of Lake Ashi was also amazing.

  • Mount Fuji and Lake Ashi can be seen from the hotel's courtyard.

  • This is a recommended hotel in Hakone on Lake Ashi. You can see Mt. Fuji from the hotel grounds. I walked around the courtyard and the lakeside, and was able to relax while seeing Mt. Fuji. The Japanese breakfast had a variety of small dishes such as grilled fish, thick omelet, miso soup, and simmered dishes, and they were all gently seasoned and delicious.

  • A good hotel to use as a base for sightseeing in Hakone

  • This is a long-established hotel located on the shore of Lake Ashi in Hakone. You can see Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji from the hotel 's courtyard. We stayed in the main building, but we had a beautiful view of Lake Ashi and the mountains. There is also a hot spring in the annex, although it is a little far away. We enjoyed roast beef at the buffet for dinner, and had Japanese food for breakfast. The red fish saikyoyaki and stew were very delicious. The hotel is close to Hakone Shrine, Lake Ashi sightseeing boats, and the Komagatake Ropeway, making it a good hotel to use as a base for sightseeing in Hakone.

  • An open-air hotel stay where you can enjoy nature

  • As this inn is located near the lakeside, you can enjoy views of Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji. If you stay in winter, the courtyard will be decorated with beautiful illuminations with the theme of harmony with nature. The large public bath, which uses natural hot spring water, is very spacious, so you won't mind sharing the bath with other people. This hotel has many dining options, so be sure to check if they offer a Japanese meal plan when you make your reservation.
