• From the Tokyo metropolitan area, you can go directly to the hotel in about 150 minutes from Shinjuku on the Odakyu Highway Bus. If you are traveling by train, it is about a 25-minute drive from Hakone-Yumoto Station. This is a long-established resort hotel located in one of the best locations on the shores of Lake Ashi in Hakone. You can see Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji from the hotel, and you can enjoy Lake Ashi hot springs from the hotel's own source in the large communal bath and open-air bath. You can choose between Western and Japanese food for meals, and I chose Japanese food for dinner and Western food for breakfast, but dinner had a seasonal feel and was delicious and beautiful to look at.

• This is a lovely hotel in a quiet location where you can see Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji from your room. There is also a large public bath and an open-air bath where you can relax in the hotel's own hot spring waters of Lake Ashi. The view of Mt. Fuji from the vast garden was wonderful, and it was relaxing to take a leisurely walk. For dinner, we had a Japanese kaiseki meal, which was elegant, well-crafted, delicious, and just the right amount.

There is also an observation room in the hotel, from which you can see the garden, Lake Ashi, and Mt. Fuji. Of course, the view from the room was also great. There is also a hot spring, and the jet bath and open-air bath were relaxing. The Japanese breakfast had various side dishes in small bowls, and all of them were local dishes that I don't usually eat, and they were delicious.

• The hotel is close to Hon-Hakone Port, and we arrived in no time after taking the "Lake Ashi Liner" from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Lake Ashi is in front of the hotel, and Mt. Fuji is to the right. Lake Ashi can be seen from all guest rooms. If the weather is good, Mt. Fuji can also be seen. The rooms are Western-style and have a chic design that is relaxing. The view of Mt. Fuji from the observation room, which is only available to guests, was also amazing. Dinner was sukiyaki, which was very delicious.
