  • Mikiya Ryokan
  • A long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Kinosaki Onsen where your grandmother can stay without worries

I'm going to Kinosaki Onsen with my grandmother. I'd like to stay at a traditional Ryokan (Japanese inn) in a quiet location. Do you have any recommendations for a place where people of all ages can relax?

Mikiya Ryokan

487 Yushima, Kinosaki-cho, Toyooka

  • A traditional Japanese Ryokan (Japanese inn) with 300 years of history

  • This is a wonderful hot spring inn with a warm wooden architecture and ties to many writers and artists. It is conveniently located along the Otani River for soto-yu (public bathhouses) and literary monument tours, and you can choose a stylish patterned yukata when touring soto-yu (public bathhouses). The garden that appears in Shiga Naoya's novel is lit up at night, and there is a family bath that can be used without a reservation, so it is also recommended for staying overnight to entertain grandmothers.

  • Experience the world view from Kinosaki

  • This inn was founded 300 years ago and is also famous for being the place where the famous Naoya Shiga stayed. The rooms are also attractive as they make maximum use of the warmth of wood. The inn has a traditional atmosphere, so even elderly people will find it comfortable.
