  • Kirishima Kokusai Hotel
  • Hike the Kirishima mountain range. Relax in the hot springs of Kirishima.

I'm planning to join a trekking tour of the Kirishima mountain range in Kagoshima Prefecture. I want to stay overnight at Ryokan (Japanese inn) or hotel in Kirishima Onsen, so I can relax in a hot spring after the hike. I'd like to stay somewhere where I can eat at Ryokan (Japanese inn) ryokan. Please let me know your recommendations. I'd appreciate it if you could speak to me in English.

Kirishima Kokusai Hotel

3930-12 Takachiho, Makizonocho

  • A hotel where you can enjoy seafood and mountain delicacies for dinner

  • This hotel is located in the center of the Kirishima Onsen area, and the best thing about it is the great view of Sakurajima that you can see on a clear day. The food at this inn is highly rated, so it is also recommended for those who want to try local cuisine! There are signs in English, so you don't have to worry about communication. There is a wide variety of baths, including an open-air bath, a spacious large bath, a reclining Lying-down bath, and a steam bath. If you are worried about the surroundings, you can also use a private bath!

  • A hotel in Kagoshima that is easily accessible by public transport

  • It's about a 30-minute bus ride from Kagoshima Airport, and local buses are also available from the nearest station, so it's easy to get to by public transport. At the baths, you can enjoy natural hot spring water 100% natural hot spring. There is also a sauna and a rock sauna, making it the perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking. The interior of the buffet restaurant, which incorporates Kirishima's traditional culture in a modern way, is also interesting. As the name "Yukemuri Terrace" suggests, it is a space where you can feel the hot spring steam spewing from underground.
