"Wadoh Ryokan" Reviews & Details
"Wadoh RyokanReviews about "
- We chose the plan with a private open-air bath for our anniversary trip. It was so luxurious to enjoy the hot spring anytime while overlooking the beautiful river view without worrying about other guests. Although dinner was served in the dining hall, the Kaiseki dinner, made with seasonal ingredients, was truly gourmet and elegant. It was the ultimate Japanese retreat—perfect for couples seeking privacy, great food, and a relaxing soak.

Washitsu with Private Tub & River Sounds
- We stayed in a Japanese-style room (washitsu) with an engawa (veranda). The quiet sound of the river made the time spent there feel truly special and relaxing. The room was clean, spacious, and perfectly blended traditional Japanese atmosphere with modern comfort. It was a wonderful stay where we could enjoy the natural sounds of Chichibu in complete privacy.

There is a hot spring with a long history in Chichibu
- This is a quiet Ryokan (Japanese inn) located halfway between Chichibu city and Nagatoro. The Japanese-style building was decorated with many paintings and vases that landlady had collected as a hobby, making it feel like an art museum. We enjoyed the baths at Wadou Onsen, also known as the "medicinal bath" and with a long history as one of the Seven Hot Springs of Chichibu. There are two baths with different designs, one made of rocks and the other made of cypress. Each has a large indoor bath and an open-air bath with a sense of openness, and both have wonderful views of the trees that were very relaxing. We were also satisfied with the substantial Japanese course dinner. There was a wide selection of Chichibu wine, sake, and shochu to enjoy with the food. There were also a small souvenir booth, a cafe terrace, private baths, and many other things to do.

Enjoy a country-style Japanese breakfast
- This is a quiet inn located about a 15-minute walk from Wadokurodani Station. If you take a taxi from Seibu Chichibu Station, it will cost about 2,000 yen. There are paintings and vases displayed throughout the building, and the Japanese-style space has a warm atmosphere. You can eat dinner in a private dining room or in your room. It was a creative Japanese-style course meal using seasonal ingredients from Chichibu. The taste was exquisite, and there were so many dishes that I couldn't finish it all. There were various meat dishes, fish dishes, wild vegetables, etc. Breakfast was a Japanese set meal based on the concept of a rural Japanese breakfast, and I enjoyed it with small amounts of various side dishes. I chose a Japanese-style room that was a little on the higher end, but the view was good and I could see the Yokose River from my room. I was able to relax in the spacious Japanese-style room. There was also a room with an open-air bath. There is a private bath and a private bedrock bath, but it costs money. It was a very comfortable inn.

When in doubt, come here!
- Dinner is served in a private room or in the room. The dishes change depending on what's in season, including seasonal dishes like grilled flounder yolk tofu, tuna yam, snapper buds, sweet shrimp, etc. You can eat a plate of country side dishes, miso potatoes, Aqua Farm eggs, and other breakfast staples. The baths are quite extensive, and you can enjoy the Wado mineral springs in the indoor rock bath and open-air bath, as well as the indoor and open-air cypress baths, and there is a large free private bath and private bedrock bath. What's great about this is that the prices are reasonable.

Enjoy the finest kaiseki cuisine!
- If you have a budget of 30,000 yen, I recommend this inn. The kaiseki cuisine here is worth more than the price, and the baths are also good. There are two large baths, one with an indoor rock bath and an open-air bath where you can see the dazzling autumn leaves in the fall, and the other with an indoor cypress bath and a large open-air bath, where you can see the starry sky on a clear night. There is also a free private bath and a free rock bath. The kaiseki cuisine for dinner on this plan is the highest grade at the inn, and you will be able to eat more than you pay for. In the morning, you will be full with the standard breakfast of locally produced eggs, freshly cooked rice, grilled fish, freshly picked vegetable salad, and B-grade gourmet miso potatoes.

The historic Yakushi no Yu has six baths that will soothe your body and mind!
- Wado Onsen, which has a long history and was discovered during the time of Takeda Shingen, is known as Yakushi no Yu for its high healing powers. You can enjoy this hot spring 24 hours a day (excluding cleaning time of about an hour). There is an indoor rock bath and an open-air bath full of greenery behind it, and in the autumn when the leaves change color, a sea of orange spreads out before your eyes. There is also an indoor cypress bath and a large open-air bath next to it, and on clear nights you can gaze at the stars. There is also a private semi-open-air bath for two and a private rock sauna, both of which are free of charge. Meals are served in the mountains, but you can enjoy kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )with plenty of seafood, a country breakfast in the morning, and B-grade gourmet food such as miso potatoes.

Of the 38 rooms, 14 have open-air baths - hot springs!
- I don't know how many people there will be, but if you are traveling alone, there are only five rooms available, so it's best to make a reservation early. The baths were opened in the time of Takeda Shingen, so it is an old hot spring area with a long history, and the hot springs are called Wado mineral springs, which have high healing powers, and are also called Yakushi no Yu. The baths at our hotel are also wonderful, and the indoor rock bath and the open-air bath surrounded by trees beyond are very relaxing and nice baths. There is also an indoor cypress bath and a large open-air bath next to it. It is also nice that you can use all of them until the morning except for cleaning time (1 hour). There is also a private bath and a private rock bath that is just the right size for two people, and although reservations are required, they are free. For meals, you can eat a generous kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )with seafood, and in the morning, you can have a breakfast with miso potatoes, a B-class gourmet food called a country breakfast.

A private bath with your baby.
- This is Wadou Onsen, and there is a private bath with a view of the garden. There is a large chair, so you can put your baby to sleep. Of course, it is close to the bath, so you can rest assured. The room is about 8 tatami mats in size. It feels a little larger because there is a wide veranda.

This is a Japanese-style hot spring inn located in the nature-rich Kurotani area.
- This is a Japanese-style hot spring inn located in the nature-rich Kurodani district where the Wadokaichin coin was discovered. If you are a couple, we recommend a room with an open-air bath. The Yokose River flows nearby, so you can enjoy a relaxing bath while listening to the babbling of the river. There are three types of bathtubs: ceramic, wooden, and rock, which are all very tasteful. For dinner, you can enjoy the inn's special seasonal kaiseki cuisine.

It has been renovated and is beautiful!
- It is a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn), but it has been renovated and is now beautiful. There is a clear stream flowing next to Ryokan (Japanese inn), and it is great to spend time on the terrace sipping a drink. The hot spring is a little hot, but the open-air bath feels great! You can eat in your room, and you can enjoy a variety of dishes little by little, so you will be satisfied! On the way back, a free shuttle will take you to Chichibu Station.

This is a hot spring inn recommended for couples traveling to Chichibu Onsen.
- This is a hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) located near the Wado ruins in Chichibu Onsen. There are rooms with open-air baths. You can also enjoy the simple sulfur cold mineral hot springs in the large baths made of Chichibu serpentine stone and ancient cypress. As for meals, you can eat "Wado Kaiseki," an arrangement of authentic kaiseki. In particular, the specially ordered dishes such as salt-grilled river fish (sweetfish, trout, and yamame) are exquisite.

Here, both babies and mothers are safe.
- This inn has a good reputation as a baby-friendly inn, and we heard that mothers can feel at ease when they stay here. Diaper changing stations and other amenities were also provided. There was a private bath separate from the large public bath, and although it was not an open-air bath, it was a semi-open-air bath connected to the balcony, so we could enjoy the view while we stayed. Since it was a private bath, we didn't have to worry about the baby splashing around, which was the most convenient thing. The banquet meal had a wide variety of dishes and we were very satisfied. There was also a terrace that was just right for taking the baby for a walk. The staff were also very welcoming, and we had a great time.

We also have private baths, so you can feel safe even if you bring your baby.
- There is a plan that includes room use and lunch. There is also a private bath, so it is safe to bring babies. The bath is an alkaline hypotonic mineral spring, so it is effective in relieving fatigue. Lunch is not particularly luxurious, but you can eat a set meal. The location is about 70 minutes from Nerima IC.
