Togetsutei Hotel

54-4 Nakao Shitamachi, Nishikyo-ku

  • Recommended accommodations in Arashiyama Onsen

  • The view from Togetsukyo Bridge is very Kyoto-like and sure to please foreigners. It is also conveniently located for exploring Arashiyama. There are rooms with open-air baths, and kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )is a feast for the eyes. It is not too expensive, so it should fit your budget.

  • Chef's homemade omelettes for breakfast!

  • The best thing about this hotel is the delicious breakfast. Their enthusiasm for their customers is very clear. They also treat children very well. It's also close to Arashiyama, so it's perfect for sightseeing!!

Hilton Tokyo Odaiba

1-9-1 Daiba, Minato-ku

  • A relaxing hotel

  • The beautiful female staff were very nice. I had never seen pink flowers before, and the hotel was bigger and more spacious than the hotels in Tokyo. It was definitely a luxurious stay. The breakfast was also delicious.

Hotel Monterey Kyoto

604 Manjuya-cho Sanjo-Sagaru, Karasuma-dori, Nakagyo-ku

  • Perfect for walking around town

  • The location is excellent and it's perfect for walking around the city. The staff are very accommodating and the hotel is well-cleaned, so it's a safe place for women to stay. The beds are Simmons so you can get a good night's sleep, and there's a spa on the top floor, so it's a great place to relax on tired feet.

Kyoto Arashiyama Ranzan Hotel

33 Saga-Tenryuji Susukinobaba-cho, Ukyo-ku

  • It's a well located accommodation

  • It is conveniently located within walking distance of Arashiyama Station, close to Togetsukyo Bridge, and has a nice atmosphere. The accommodation fee is very reasonable, so you can stay casually. There are Japanese-style rooms and Western-style rooms, but I recommend the Japanese-style rooms. They face the courtyard, and the combination with the Japanese-style rooms is picturesque. For breakfast, you can enjoy Kyoto-style obanzai in a Buffet style. I think this is the best hotel for strolling around Arashiyama.

Ohara OnsenYumoto Kyo No Minshuku Ohara No Sato

41, Kusao-Cho, Oohara, Sakyo-Ku, Kyoto-shi,

  • A quiet, tasteful hideaway

  • About a 30-minute drive from Kyoto city is Ohara, an area with a mountain village atmosphere. The town is famous for Sanzenin Temple, but not many people stay the night here. Ohara no Sato is a rustic guesthouse. The facilities are simple, but well-maintained, and you can sense the care that goes into welcoming guests. The food is centered around simple miso stew, and although it is not as refined as Kyoto kaiseki cuisine, the heartfelt flavor permeates the soul.

  • Highly rated accommodation

  • This inn has received high reviews from various media. Although it is a little independent guest cottages from the station, it is located in the very center of Kyoto, near Kawaramachi and Karasuma stations. This inn allows you to fully enjoy Japanese culture and has in-room dining. There are a variety of plans available, so you can choose one that fits your budget.

Kyoto Ryokan Gion Sano

504 Washio-cho, Gion-shimogawara, Higashiyama-ku

  • Yasaka Shrine

  • How about "Kyoto Inn Gion Sano <Kyoto Gion>", which has a small number of rooms and places emphasis on hospitality. It is located right next to Yasaka Shrine. It is an area in Kyoto that retains the atmosphere of the downtown area. You will be greeted by a thatched roof gate. It is a traditional Japanese Ryokan (Japanese inn) with a relaxing atmosphere.

Takao Kanko Hotel

  • Watching the babbling brook in the inner sanctum of Kyoto

  • Depending on the season, you can experience the famous riverside dining, so we recommend arriving a little early. It will further stir up the Kyoto atmosphere. You can see the babbling river from all the rooms. You can enjoy seasonal kaiseki cuisine at your leisure, whether on the riverside or in your room. This is an inn where you can enjoy hospitality in the inner sanctum.
