Togetsutei Hotel

54-4 Nakao Shitamachi, Nishikyo-ku

  • The atmosphere of Kyoto

  • We recommend this inn, located about a 5-minute walk from Hankyu Arashiyama Station and about a 15-minute walk from JR Saga-Arashiyama Station. It is a long-established inn that represents Arashiyama, located at the south end of Togetsukyo Bridge. The large hot spring bath with its classy atmosphere is nice, but you can also enjoy a bath in a room with an open-air bath while looking at Arashiyama, which changes color with the seasons. You can relax and enjoy a gorgeous Kyoto kaiseki meal at Cure Kushizu. The hot tofu breakfast is also delicious.

  • If you go to Arashiyama

  • This is Togetsutei in Arashiyama, Kyoto. It is an inn with a great view of Togetsukyo Bridge, a famous spot in Arashiyama. The rooms are calming Japanese-style rooms, so you can relax. The baths are natural hot springs, and there is an indoor bath as well as an open-air bath.

  • A Kyoto-style accommodation

  • Arashiyama is served by many trains and buses, so there are many lodgings that can be reached only by public transportation. The one I recommend is "Togetsutei." It is located at the quiet west end of the Katsura River in the tourist-filled Arashiyama.

  • This is definitely the best place

  • I recommend Togetsutei in Arashiyama Onsen. It is a historic inn that represents Arashiyama. It is also conveniently accessible from the Sagano Line and the Hankyu Kyoto Line. The rooms with open-air baths are also atmospheric and recommended.

  • This is at the foot of Togetsukyo Bridge, the symbol of Arashiyama.

  • This famous Ryokan (Japanese inn) stands at the foot of Togetsukyo Bridge, the symbol of Arashiyama. It is easily accessible, with Hankyu Arashiyama Station just a 5-minute walk away. After checking in, cross Togetsukyo Bridge and stroll through downtown Arashiyama before returning to the inn to relieve your fatigue in Arashiyama Onsen. Some rooms have an open-air bath, so you can enjoy the hot springs while taking in the view of the Hozugawa River.

  • Easy to get to by train

  • My married couple and I stayed here after taking the Shinkansen and train. Not only was it easy to get to by public transport, but it was also in a very convenient location for sightseeing, so it was a great choice. The price wasn't cheap, but it wasn't too expensive either. Dinner out in Kyoto can be surprisingly expensive, so it's not too bad.

  • As the name suggests, this hotel is close to Togetsukyo Bridge.

  • The closest station to Arashiyama is the Hankyu Railway's Arashiyama Station. This is Ryokan (Japanese inn) close to the Togetsukyo Bridge and Arashiyama Station. If you are going sightseeing after staying in Arashiyama, I recommend you first go to Tenryu-ji Temple, then take a stroll around Sagano. You can walk from Nonomiya to Jojakko-ji Temple and Rakushisha Temple, which are famous for their autumn leaves, and then walk to Gion-ji Temple and finally Nenbutsu-ji Temple, and then take a bus back.

  • Speaking of Arashiyama, Togetsutei is famous.

  • This inn is located at the end of the Togetsukyo Bridge in Arashiyama. It is a slightly luxurious hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn), with meals included and starting at 20,000 yen per person. The food, hot springs, and atmosphere are all definitely good hospitality. Also, if you are coming from Kyoto Station to Arashiyama, we recommend transferring to the Sanin Main Line and getting off at Saga-Arashiyama Station.

  • Right in front of Togetsukyo Bridge

  • Located at the foot of Togetsukyo Bridge, Togetsutei is a Japanese-style Ryokan (Japanese inn) divided into three buildings. It is the perfect place to enjoy Kyoto kaiseki cuisine and relax in the hot springs. It is located about a five-minute walk from Hankyu Arashiyama Station, so it is easy to get to. If you are not satisfied with the hotel baths, you can also enjoy a bath at the nearby super public bath, "Fufu no Yu."
