  • Visiting Kenrokuen Garden - Any English-Speaking Accommodations in Kanazawa?

A friend of mine recently visited Ishikawa Prefecture and had a wonderful time, so I'm planning a trip there myself. I'll be taking the Hokuriku Shinkansen from Tokyo and am now looking for accommodation in Kanazawa. Could anyone recommend any hotels or other types of lodging in Kanazawa where English is spoken? Thanks in advance!

Hotel Vista Kanazawa

2-13-27 Hirooka

  • English is easily spoken at reception desk

  • It's a 6-minute walk from Kanazawa Station. It's along a main road, so you won't get lost. When I checked in, the person next to me was checking in in English, so I think English is understandable. There were many foreign guests. The room had a bedroom, a bath, a toilet, and a sink. There was a bathtub in the room, and it was easy to use because it was separate from the toilet. However, there is no changing room, so you need to be a little careful if you are using it with someone other than your family. The bed was also perfect for a woman to use alone. There was a table and two chairs in the room, so I had no trouble eating things I bought at the market at the hotel.

  • There is a large communal bath and a private bath in the room!

  • It's a little walk from the station, but there's a convenience store nearby so it was quite convenient. It's a different exit from the one where the tourist bus stops are so it feels a little far away, but it was nice because it was quiet. Foreigners are also staying there, and some people checked in in English. The room has a Japanese atmosphere and is small, but it's fine for resting. The toilet and bath are separate, which is convenient. There was a bathtub in the room so I was able to take a long soak. There was also a large public bath, so if you want to soak in a large bath, you can use that.
