  • Awara Onsen | Recommended hot spring inns for birthday trips

We are planning to go to Awara Onsen for my wife's birthday. Since it's a special birthday celebration, we would like to stay at a high-class Ryokan (Japanese inn). Are there any recommended inns?

Haiya

2-205 Onsen, Awara-shi

  • An inn that uses an abundance of high-quality ingredients.

  • It is about a 3-minute walk from Arawayunomachi Station. It is a high-class Ryokan (Japanese inn) that costs over 30,000 yen per night. In winter, they mainly serve crab dishes. You can enjoy snow crab Shabu Shabu(Japanese hotpot)and fatty Wakasa puffer fish in the cold. The large public bath is designed all the way up to the ceiling, which is also worth seeing.

  • A luxurious Ryokan (Japanese inn) with rooms featuring open-air garden baths

  • How about staying at this traditional inn, founded in 1884? There are independent guest cottages rooms with gardens and 100% natural hot spring, allowing you to spend a luxurious time just for the two of you. There are also a variety of menus available, perfect for anniversaries, such as a full crab course or a kaiseki meal with spiny lobster.
