  • Dormy Inn Matsumoto Natural Hot Spring
  • Take the Chuo Line Limited Express from Tokyo to Matsumoto. What is the best hotel for sightseeing at Matsumoto Castle, Japan's oldest national treasure?

I'd like to see Matsumoto Castle, Japan's oldest national treasure. I'm planning to go from Tokyo, and after researching, I found out I can get there on the Chuo Line Azusa Limited Express, so I'm thinking of taking that. Since I'll only be staying in Matsumoto, I'll be staying there. Can you recommend a hotel for sightseeing in Matsumoto? I'd prefer something budget-friendly to mid-range. It's okay if there's no dinner or hot springs.

Dormy Inn Matsumoto Natural Hot Spring

2-2-1 Fukashi

  • Enjoy the feeling of a hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) close to the station

  • Dormy Inn Matsumoto is close to Matsumoto Station and is recommended as a base for sightseeing. The open-air bath has a spacious feel, and although it is compact, it is packed with the attention to detail of a hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn). The hotel chain's signature breakfast is also popular.

  • A hotel with natural hot springs that is convenient for sightseeing

  • Located just a 5-minute walk from JR Matsumoto Station and within walking distance of Matsumoto Castle, this hotel is ideally located for sightseeing. Its greatest attraction is the large natural hot spring bath, where you can relax and unwind after a long day of travel just like you would at a hot spring inn, even though it is a business hotel. You can also expect the attentive service that only a popular hotel chain can provide.
