A friend from overseas wants to do the Shikoku Pilgrimage, so can you recommend some cheap hotels?
My French friend wants to do the pilgrimage around next spring, so he asked me about hotels. I've been looking for a place to stay, but I'd like some recommendations! I'm looking for a cheap place to stay that suits a man in his 60s.

If you are going on a pilgrimage around Shikoku, we recommend the Toyoko Inn Takamatsu Hyogomachi as your first accommodation. Toyoko Inn is a business hotel chain with branches all over the country, so once you learn the check-in procedure, it will work everywhere.びびお's answer (Posted on:2017/2/13)

Business hotel in front of JR Takamatsu Station
-
It is recommended as a post town in Sanuki where the Shikoku Pilgrimage ends. It is a business hotel in front of JR Takamatsu Station. It is located close to Takamatsu Port and the Takamatsu Castle ruins, making it ideal for sightseeing. Plans with breakfast, which you can choose between Japanese or Western food, are also cheap, starting from 5,000 yen. Even if you are staying without meals, you will not have any trouble finding food as it is close to the station.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/6/ 3)

You can enjoy a soak in the hot springs while you are on the pilgrimage.
- I stayed here after visiting Konpira-san. I highly recommend staying here if you are on a pilgrimage. The hotel is close to the main building of Dogo Onsen, so you can soak in the hot springs there to relieve your fatigue. The hotel is spacious and well-equipped. It includes a delicious Japanese breakfast and is recommended as it can be stayed for as little as 8,000 yen.きくまさむね's answer (Posted on:2017/6/22)

Toyoko Inn hotels are cheap and can be found in most prefectures.
- Hello. It was just the price. Private lodgings and guesthouses are cheaper and allow overseas guests to feel "Japan", but it's hard to choose. Toyoko Inns are in most prefectures and the room types are almost the same, so guests won't have to worry. Also, breakfast is included, so you can enjoy the breakfast that Japanese people normally eat.あぶ's answer (Posted on:2016/5/18)

A hotel near Zentsuji Temple, perfect for pilgrimages and sightseeing
- It's cheap at around 5,000 yen for a one-night stay without meals. There are izakayas, supermarkets, and home improvement stores around the hotel, so you won't have any trouble finding something to eat. It's also not that far from the station, a 15-minute walk from JR Zentsuji Station. It's close to Zentsuji, a 10-minute walk away. The next temple, Kinzoji, is about a 20-minute walk away, so it's a conveniently located hotel.マリちゃん2's answer (Posted on:2014/6/ 3)
