Otaru, Hokkaido: Cheap hotels recommended for solo travelers
Can you recommend a cheap hotel for a solo traveler to Otaru? I'd prefer a simple hotel that's clean and tidy.

You can walk to the Otaru Canal, Kitaichi Glass, and the brick streetscape from Otaru Station, so I recommend the Dormy Inn in front of the station. Sightseeing in Otaru is nice, but as someone from Sapporo, I would definitely recommend stopping by Sapporo for sightseeing.かじゅある's answer (Posted on:2016/2/14)

It's very helpful to have a large public bath.
- This hotel has a large hot spring bath, so it's perfect for relieving the fatigue of your trip. They have single rooms so it's easy to stay even if you're traveling alone, and the beds are very wide and comfortable. The rooms were also clean. There are indoor and semi-open-air hot springs. In the evening, they offer a free service of "Yonakisoba (noodles sold by a hawker at night)" (late-night noodles), which was delicious.ぽよよん's answer (Posted on:2015/11/23)

The seafood bowl is delicious and you can also take a dip in the natural hot springs.
- The hotel is close to the station, so you won't have any trouble getting lost. It's in a great location for sightseeing in Otaru. The hotel offers a Buffet breakfast of Japanese and Western cuisine, including seafood bowls and other Hokkaido delicacies, and free Yonakisoba (noodles sold by a hawker at night) are served at night. High-speed internet connection is also free. Enjoy the natural hot springs.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/6/ 4)
