  • Shiga Kogen Prince Hotel
  • Seeking Recommendations for Hot Springs Ryokan with Stunning Snow Views in Nagano & Yamanashi for a February Trip!

I'm planning a hot spring trip with three friends for February, and we're looking for a ryokan with amazing snowy scenery. We're especially hoping for a place with breathtaking views from the open-air bath and excellent service. Our budget is around 30,000 yen per person, and we'd love some recommendations in or near Nagano and Yamanashi

Shiga Kogen Prince Hotel

Yakebitai-yama, Shiga Kogen, Yamanouchi-machi, Shimotakai-gun

  • I want you to see the view from the open-air bath.

  • How about staying at Shiga Kogen Prince Hotel in Shiga Kogen, Nagano Prefecture? The hotel is directly connected to the ski resort, so you can enjoy winter sports at the same time. In winter, the hotel is enveloped in a world of silver, and the view from the open-air bath is especially beautiful. After warming up in onsen(hot spring), you can enjoy a meal at the hotel restaurant. onsen(hot spring) is also available for day trips, so it's recommended for those who want to enjoy both skiing and onsen(hot spring).

  • The view of snow from the open-air bath is magnificent

  • This hotel does not have an indoor bath, only a covered open-air bath, but the view from the open-air bath is spectacular. It gets quite cold at this time of year, so your face will get quite cold, but you can take a relaxing bath while looking at the beautiful view. I went with a friend and we stayed in the bath for two hours. The food is Buffet, but the roast beef that the chef cuts and plates in front of you is excellent.

  • A great inn with hot springs and a Japanese garden

  • Apparently the president himself once collected stones to create a garden, which he then turned into an open-air bath. The luxurious yet calming atmosphere is very relaxing. There is also a beautiful Japanese garden inside Ryokan (Japanese inn). It is close to the city center, and the history and hospitality are very satisfying. It has been a long time since I last stayed here, but I would definitely like to come back with my family.

  • You can enjoy Breathtaking view of the Northern Alps and the Hokushin Five Mountains while soaking in the hot springs.

  • There is a ski resort behind the hotel. The hotel is barrier-free and child-Breathtaking view. The bath is an open-air bath with a spectacular view of the mountains. Meals are Buffet of Shinshu country cuisine. The rooms are Japanese and Western room style and you can sleep in a bed or a futon. There was a discount for children, so we were able to stay very cheaply. We were able to ski with the money we saved, so it was a good deal.

  • Great service!

  • I was impressed with the attention to detail at this hotel. From the open-air observation bath, Mt. Fuji spreads out before your eyes, which was very pleasant. There are plastic bags for wet towels in the changing room of the large public bath, and you can put your used bath towels in the laundry basket so you can use a new one every time. There is also tea service at the entrance to the bath, so you can relax after your bath.

  • It's cold, but the snow scenery and food are excellent

The open-air bath, nestled in the middle of nature, lets you enjoy the snow while soaking in Kiso Ontake onsen(hot spring). The indoor large bath is also very spacious, and the pleasant scent of cypress is soothing.

  • The open-air hot springs along the valley are wonderful.

  • The open-air hot spring is located along the valley, and it's great to spend some time listening to the sound of the river. There is also an indoor bath, but the view is amazing. Yamagatakan, which is built along the valley, has a great view of the valley and the food was also satisfying. I have been there twice so far, attracted by the quality of the hot spring.

  • This is a historic inn, and the baths are highly recommended.

  • It is a historic and prestigious Ryokan (Japanese inn). The rooms are spacious, and the atrium lobby has a luxurious feel. The wooden Momoyama bath is wonderful. The rock-made open-air bath is also very tasteful. In winter, you can bathe while admiring the snowy scenery. This inn is also a registered tangible cultural property of the country. And yet, it is a hidden onsen(hot spring) that is not too expensive. For food, you can enjoy the famous Shinshu beef. Please use this as reference.

  • This hotel is located halfway up the slopes of Norikura Kogen Ski Resort, and since the surrounding temperature drops below freezing, you may be able to see diamond dust while taking a bath in the open-air bath early in the morning. We recommend this hotel to those who want to experience a fantastic atmosphere while warming their bodies in the hot springs.
