Hot Springs Ryokans with Rooms Overlooking the Atami Fireworks?
I'm planning a trip to see the Atami Sea Fireworks Festival with two friends. We'd love to stay in a hot springs ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) where we can enjoy the fireworks beautifully from our room. Do you have any recommendations? Our budget is around 20,000 yen per person per night. We're flexible on room and meal types.

- I stayed here for one night, though it wasn't during a fireworks day. It's right in front of the ocean, and all rooms have ocean views! Plus, I heard that the rooftop terrace offers excellent fireworks views. The rooms are spacious, and the large windows offer great views of the sea. Not just the rooms, but the entire hotel is designed functionally, making it suitable for long-term stays. There's even an area recommended for "workation" (work + vacation), where you can enjoy all-you-can-drink beer and free snacks while working, then relax in the hot springs – it's the best! While it's not an open-air bath, the large public bath with hot springs was very satisfying. To enter, you input a key code sent via email at the 1F entrance, and check-in is done via a tablet with an operator, so there are no staff present on the 1F. Just be aware that you cannot store luggage here!まりるり's answer (Posted on:2025/7/16)

You can see the Atami fireworks from your room or the rooftop terrace!
- I recommend the recently opened Rakuten Stay Atami. Not only do all rooms have ocean views, but the rooftop terrace is lit up at night, allowing you to enjoy the fireworks. If you're staying on a lower floor and have difficulty seeing the fireworks, the rooftop is a great option. The first-floor lounge offers free-flow coffee, wine, cocktails, and beer! I didn't go during fireworks season, but I was happy to have all-you-can-drink beer! While there isn't an open-air bath, you can enjoy a hot spring bath in the large communal bath. Language can be a challenge for foreigners, but the reception is unmanned and you process your reservations using a tablet, and the staff speaks English without any problems. Since it's unmanned, they can't store your luggage after check-out, but if you use it wisely, you can enjoy a comfortable fireworks viewing experience.Shiratama's answer (Posted on:2025/7/22)
