How about Kotosankaku? It's in a great, convenient location, just a 5-minute walk from both Kotohira Station and the main Omotesando street. Guests staying in the main building have exclusive access to an observation bath with magnificent, panoramic views of the Shikoku landscape. For dinner, you can enjoy a Japanese kaiseki course featuring the bounty of both the Seto Inland Sea and the Sanuki countryside. The "Olive-Jidori Kamameshi" (Olive Chicken Hot Pot Rice) was particularly outstanding.

While the building had once shown its age, a complete renovation about a decade ago beautifully revitalized the property. This atmospheric hotel is conveniently located near the entrance of the main shrine approach. The onsen features a gentle, skin-friendly weak radon spring, and facilities include a grand public bath, a sauna, and an open-air bath. We highly recommend the open-air bath, which offers a wonderful view of the famed Kotohira-gu Shrine. For dinner, you can savor a kaiseki course prepared with local Sanuki ingredients, including Sanuki beef and seasonal mountain vegetables.

For meals, we enjoyed creative cuisine that used many ingredients from Kagawa. For hot springs, we were able to enjoy the natural hot springs from the open-air bath on the rooftop while looking out over the hot spring town.

こんぴら温泉は、「ことね」がおすすめです。こんぴらさんの裏参道に佇む宿です。滞在中何度でも入れる貸切風呂は全部で6つある。露天風呂はないですが、畳風呂や御影石造りの湯船、むくの木が香る湯船、大正ロマンの風情漂う湯船など、趣が異なり湯めぐりを楽しむことができます。夕食で頂ける、瀬戸内産の魚介類や地元野菜を使った創作会席料理も品数が多くてお腹いっぱいです。
