"Kobaitei" is an inn I would definitely recommend for families who love onsen. True to its reputation as a "Yumoto" (the original source of the spring), it actually boasts two different types of hot spring water. The sheer number of baths is impressive, featuring a total of 15 different bathing spots, including the garden open-air bath "Hana Terrace" and the large public bath "Hana Sumika." You don't even need to leave the premises to visit other baths; you can enjoy a full day of "Yu-meguri" (onsen hopping) right inside this ryokan.

"Kotohira Grand Hotel Sakuranosho" is perfectly located right on the main approach (Omotesando) to Kotohira-gu Shrine. The location is outstanding. The open-air baths (rotenburo) here are fantastic, too. From the men's bath, you can actually see the Omon Gate (Great Gate) of the shrine. It's the perfect way to soothe your tired muscles after the long climb, all while enjoying the view. If you choose a standard plan, there are many dates available for around 15,000 yen. For what you get, I think it offers excellent value (good "cospa").

ご家族でこんぴら温泉なら、「琴参閣」がおすすめです。ここはこんぴら温泉でも最大級の大きな旅館で、とにかく施設が充実しています。スタンダードな「讃水館」という棟なら、ご予算の15,000円前後に合うバイキングプランが見つかるはずです。ステーキやお寿司、天ぷらなど子供が好きなメニューも多く、家族みんなで楽しめました。お風呂もとても広くて、庭園露天風呂は開放感があって気持ちよかったですよ。お子さん連れなら、よりおすすめできます。

This inn boasts a long and storied history, founded in the Edo period and having hosted esteemed guests like famous authors and the Imperial Family. While the building had once shown its age, a complete renovation about a decade ago beautifully revitalized the property. Today, guests can enjoy the perfect blend of its historic soul with contemporary comfort, all while savoring the delightful onsen and the regional cuisine of Kagawa.

For meals, we enjoyed creative cuisine that used many ingredients from Kagawa. For hot springs, we were able to enjoy the natural hot springs from the open-air bath on the rooftop while looking out over the hot spring town.

「とら丸旅館」は、築100年を超える大正時代からの建物で、昭和レトロな雰囲気が好きな人にはたまりません。もちろん古いですが、きれいに手入れされています。ここの魅力は女将さんをはじめ、スタッフの皆さんが本当に親切で、家族のように迎えてくれるところです。お風呂はこんぴら温泉の湯が引かれた大浴場で、黒大理石の湯船が風情がありますよ。こんぴらさんへのアクセスも抜群ですし、温かい気持ちになれる宿です。
