ホテルには天然温泉があって、秋田の郷土料理も食べれます。全国展開のチェーンホテルなのでリーズナブルでサービスも良かったです。秋田の観光名所というと、ホテルの近くには久保田城がある千秋公園や歩いて行ける「赤れんが郷土館」、竿灯を展示している「ねぶり流し館」があります。少し遠くだと車が前提ならば男鹿半島や田沢湖、角館がオススメです。居酒屋だとホテル近くの郷土料理の｢我楽｣が良かったです。土産は「きりたんぽ」を使ったお菓子や、稲庭うどんが好評でした。
