Konpira-Onsen Yachiyo

For meals, we enjoyed creative cuisine that used many ingredients from Kagawa. For hot springs, we were able to enjoy the natural hot springs from the open-air bath on the rooftop while looking out over the hot spring town.

The best part of my stay at Yumoto Yachiyo was the magnificent rooftop open-air bath. From there, I could fully savor the ever-changing beauty of Mt. Kotohira through the seasons. The ryokan is also conveniently located just a 7-minute walk from JR Kotohira Station. For a more private experience, there's a tranquil, reservable bath where you can enjoy the therapeutic hot spring waters all to yourself. To top it all off, the kaiseki dinner, featuring a bounty of local Kagawa ingredients and specialties from across Shikoku, was delicious.

It is about a 30-minute drive from Shikoku Aquarium, and you can enjoy nature such as Konpirasan from the open-air rooftop observation bath (men and women alternate, but there are also times when there are Mixed-Gender Hot Springs times). For those who want to spend a luxurious time, we recommend a plan that includes meals and a stay in a room with an observation bath. You can enjoy seafood and meat from the Seto Inland Sea and relax in a luxurious room.

Konpira Onsen Yumoto Yachiyo offers a plan where you can dine in your room. The hospitality of Ryokan (Japanese inn) staff was very good. Also, the dried sea bream for breakfast was very delicious. The view from the open-air bath was beautiful. Access to Konpira Shrine is also excellent.

Dinner is usually served in the restaurant, but there is also a plan to have both breakfast and dinner in the room. The host will be very satisfied with the multi-course kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）, which features delicious seasonal local ingredients. The meal ends with Sanuki udon.

Both dinner and breakfast can be enjoyed in the dining room attached to the room. The hotel is located about 10 minutes from Takamatsu Road Zentsuji IC on Route 319 towards Kotohira. You can choose from a variety of kaiseki meals, featuring seasonal ingredients from the Seto Inland Sea. You can relax while looking at the view of Mount Konpira from the open-air bath. The earth-containing salt spring water is expected to be effective against rheumatism and neurological diseases.

This is a historic ryokan founded in the mid-Edo period. The onsen features a mineral-rich salt spring, which is excellent for retaining body heat and moisturizing the skin. You can enjoy bathing in various settings, including an open-air observation bath that offers views of Mt. Kotohira and Mt. Sanuki Fuji. The pricing is also quite reasonable if you choose the right season; we noted some dates available in the 15,000 to 20,000 yen range. For dinner, we were served a Japanese kaiseki course that skillfully utilized local ingredients from Kagawa Prefecture.

金比羅山を望む絶景の露天風呂などがあり、効能豊かな温泉をたっぷりと満喫できます。四季折々の四国の素晴らしい景色を楽しめました。ゆったり寛げる広いお部屋もあります。瀬戸内の旬のお魚など、香川県の地元食材を活かしたお料理も美味しくて２食付で一人15,000〜20,000円くらいでした。

こんぴらさんや琴平の門前町・讃岐平野の四季折々の風情を望める露天風呂があります。ナトリウム・塩化物冷鉱泉の天然温泉を、その露天風呂や大浴場で楽しめました。ゆっくり入れる貸切風呂もあります。食事は和牛料理など、地元の旬の食材をたっぷり使った会席料理を食べました。
