It is located about 5 minutes by free shared bus from JR Kinosaki Onsen Station. You can relax in the open-air bath while watching the natural greenery. The food was seasonal, and we were able to enjoy the luxurious dishes of abalone, flounder, and Tajima beef.

Shogetsutei is a quaint inn located in a large garden. There is a free shuttle from JR Kinosaki Onsen Station. However, you must make a reservation in advance. You can also use the jointly operated bus operated by Ryokan (Japanese inn) association that leaves every time an express train arrives, and no reservation is required. On the way back, a shuttle runs to the station every 30 minutes between 8:30 and 12:00. The Japanese-modern rooms are very nice, and the open-air hot spring is also very tasteful, so I recommend it.

ここは、城崎温泉では「一度は泊まりたいホテル」として常に上位にランクされるホテルの1つです。まずエントランスが優雅で存在感があり、入るとロビーがまた素敵な雰囲気です。私が利用した和室の部屋も優雅な雰囲気と落ち着きがあり、庭の手入れもきちんとしているのが印象的でした。他にも露天風呂付きの和室をはじめ、洋室もあるので選択ができます。周りには他に建物がない為にとても静かでゆったりと過ごせました。まるで森林浴をしているかのような開放的な露天風呂も素敵でした。高級感が漂う品の良いホテルです。

The communal open-air bath and the three different types of private open-air baths have a nice atmosphere. The food was also delicious, with a sumptuous Tajima kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）.

There are three private open-air baths, each with a different theme: a Japanese-style open-air bath, an ethnic-themed open-air bath, and a Chinese-style open-air bath. It comes with an soto-yu (public bathhouses) passport and a shuttle service, so you can rest assured. The open-air bath and the jacuzzi bath are great for a morning bath.

This is an inn in the middle of the forest, and I think you can have a relaxing stay. It's the only 5-star hotel in Kinosaki Onsen. There are three private open-air baths, each with a different theme, which is fun. The best thing about Kinosaki Onsen is the crabs. If you're looking for spring quality, there are many other great places, such as Ureshino Onsen, but if you're looking for a good overall balance of food and atmosphere, this is the inn I'd recommend.

人気の高級宿です。ホテル内はとても清潔感と高級感があり、お部屋もとても広く、お部屋の露天風呂の雰囲気も良かったです。夕食はコースでしたが、充分すぎるほど、カニのお料理をお腹いっぱい食べれました。身が殻からスルッと取れて食べやすいのは新鮮な活カニの証拠ですね。ホテルの温泉ですが城崎温泉の中でもとても広く、露天風呂からの景色も美しく、とても気持ちよく入れました。

The dinner here is kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）that includes crab dishes, and Tanba beef is also on the menu, so you can enjoy both crab and beef. Everything was delicious and exquisite. The open-air bath was also very atmospheric and wonderful, and I could see why it was so popular, even though the price was high.
