You can experience the Japanese culture of Kotatsu.
Kinugawa Niouzon Plaza in Kinugawa Onsen, Tochigi Prefecture Nikko City, has kotatsu in the rooms in winter, so your Indian friends can experience the Japanese culture of kotatsu. In the hot spring, you can enjoy the Kinugawa hot spring water in the rock open-air bath or in the open-air bath on the houseboat where you can soak slowly while overlooking the Kinugawa River valley below.

Kinugawa Nioson Plaza is a Kinugawa Onsen inn where you can enjoy the abundant hot spring water, which 100% natural hot spring 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Located along the Kinugawa River, it also has an open-air bath with a great view of the boats going down the Kinugawa Line directly below, allowing you to relax and enjoy the hot springs while taking in the nature of northern Kanto. There is also a fishing pond and a barbecue area on the premises, so you can enjoy not only the hot springs but also other leisure activities, making it an ideal place for married couple to bond.

The open-air bath is wonderful
It's not a very large hotel, but the open-air baths are amazing! There are three of them. You can enjoy the hot springs to the fullest, including the rare open-air bath in a houseboat, the garden bath with a view of the Nio statue, and the large Mixed-Gender Hot Springs with a view of the Kinugawa River below. Meals are standard, but you can check in early and have fish you catch yourself (rainbow trout, rock char) from the fishing pond on the premises grilled for dinner.
