The hotel has a wide range of facilities, making it a great place for families with children to enjoy themselves.
If you are traveling to Gero Onsen with children, we recommend "Yunoshimakan." This is a long-established inn founded in 1931, and is a Japanese-style Ryokan (Japanese inn) located in a 165-acre garden. The inn has a wide range of facilities, including table tennis, a games corner, and karaoke boxes, so small children can enjoy things other than the hot springs. The hot springs have wonderful views from the large observation bath and two open-air baths, and you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Hida mountains and Gero Onsen town below, as well as the hot spring 100% natural hot spring. Meals are served in the room, and you can enjoy luxurious kaiseki cuisine made with local ingredients such as Hida beef. This is an inn with a sense of style and atmosphere, so we are sure you will like it.

Enjoy the natural beauty of Gero Onsen
This is a lovely inn built in the Sukiya style in Gero Onsen. The open-air bath offers a panoramic view of the carefully landscaped garden and mountains, giving you a sense of freedom. The rooms are Japanese-style rooms with a calming and elegant atmosphere, and are spacious, making them perfect for relaxing. You can enjoy the cityscape and nature from the windows of your room. I had a Japanese-style room, but there are also Western-style rooms available, so please choose whichever you prefer. The meal was a delicious kaiseki meal, and we also had Hida beef.

A long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) near one of Japan's three most famous hot springs
The reason I want to go back to Gero Onsen Yunoshimakan again is because you can experience the history and tradition of this inn in various ways. The building is a registered tangible cultural property, and has a stately appearance and is very comfortable. The open-air hot spring bath is located on the side of a small hill, and overlooks the hot spring town of Gero. Furthermore, the bath is designed in a garden style, so I was able to soak in the water very calmly.

How about a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Gero Onsen?
Gero Onsen is one of Japan's three most famous hot springs, along with Arima and Kusatsu, and is famous for its alkaline simple springs that leave your skin feeling silky smooth. Yunoshimakan is built on the side of a small hill overlooking the hot spring town of Gero, and the view from the garden-style open-air bath is wonderful. The building is ancient and has been designated a tangible cultural property. I think this is an inn that will heal your mind and body.

A retro Ryokan (Japanese inn) that is a registered tangible cultural property.
Founded in 1931, this is a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) that represents Gero Onsen. The main building is a registered tangible cultural property, and still retains the appearance it had when it first opened. The three-story wooden building is surrounded by dense forests, creating a romantic atmosphere. The indoor baths have a retro feel with stained glass, and the open-air bath is in a tranquil environment surrounded by forest. This is the most retro Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Gero Onsen, one of Japan's three most famous historic hot springs.
