  • Beautiful scenery

This hotel is easily accessible from Hiraizumi, which was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2011, and is perfect for tourists. It is located in a great location, with Genbikei Gorge visible from the guest room windows. You can enjoy delicious dishes made with local ingredients, including Maesawa beef steaks.

  • The bath is great.

This hotel is close to Hiraizumi. It is conveniently located. The rooms are larger than average. It is good value for money. The baths are amazing, and you can enjoy the beautiful valley. You can enjoy the scent of wood in the open-air bath.

  • Ryokan (Japanese inn) near Genbikei Gorge

This is Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Iwate, located right next to the scenic Genbikei Gorge. The hot spring has a large indoor bath and an open-air bath. It is a natural hot spring, and the bathtub made of cypress is recommended. The food was delicious, including Iwate's famous Maesawa beef and seafood from Sanriku. At Genbikei Gorge, you can also enjoy cuckoo dumplings, which are delivered on a string stretched across the river.

  • A bath where you can enjoy the scent of wood

This hotel is conveniently located near Hiraizumi. The rooms are fairly spacious, and I think it's a good deal for the price. Plum blossoms bloom in spring, making you feel the change of season. The open-air bath is nice because you can enjoy the scent of the trees. Genbikei is famous for its "Cuckoo Dango," also known as "Flying Dango." Please give it a try.

  • Enjoy a hot spring while looking at Genbikei!

This Ryokan (Japanese inn) 's hot spring has an open-air bath overlooking the Genbikei Gorge, and the view is amazing. Nearby, there are attractions such as the "Kakkoya" where dumplings are carried along a rope from the other side of the Genbikei Gorge, which you can enjoy. It is also easily accessible from Hiraizumi, with only one train ride away, and the price is reasonable, so I recommend it!
