Reliable Kyoto Stay for Travelers: Functional Rooms and Excellent Transportation Hub
The Toyoko Inn chain is always clean and functional, making it a reliable base for any trip. There was enough space to organize our luggage, and it was comfortable for two people. Since the Randen (tram) station is right there, taking a unique route to the Arashiyama sightseeing area was a lot of fun. If you're a first-time visitor to Kyoto worried about complicated transportation, this is definitely the place to stay.

Best value for money Kyoto hotels: Free breakfast and easy access to temples
The free breakfast service was perfect for us, who wanted to save money on travel expenses. The menu was simple, with rice balls and miso soup, but the savings on breakfast were huge! The Shijo-Omiya location means there are more restaurants than around Kyoto Station, and the good thing about it is that you can stay for cheaper in the evenings. Considering the price and service, I don't think you can find a better value hotel.

A great budget base for sightseeing in Kyoto: Direct buses to temples and shrines are convenient
The biggest advantage of this hotel is the bus stop right in front of it. This time, I visited a wide area, including Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Kinkaku-ji Temple, and Arashiyama, and the buses to the major tourist spots came one after another, so travelling was really smooth. The Hankyu train station is also very close, so it's easy to get to the center of Kyoto (Kawaramachi). The price is reasonable, and the transportation is so convenient that I'll definitely return next time.
