  • Enjoy Lake Shinji Views from Your Room & Public Baths!

You'll be absolutely charmed by the breathtaking views of Lake Shinji from the guest room windows, the spacious public bath, and even the sauna here! It's incredibly relaxing. For dinner, I highly recommend the Peking duck and Shimane beef steak – both were absolutely delicious! And the breakfast spread? Simply fantastic! The location is super convenient too. It's just a 10-minute drive from Matsue Station, or an 18-minute bus ride. Even better, it's a mere 1-minute walk from Matsue Shinji-ko Onsen Station!

  • Matsue Lake Shinji Onsen

This inn is located near Lake Shinji in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, near Shinjiko Onsen Station. It was a relatively reasonable stay. There are plenty of services to enjoy the sunset, and there is also a lake view spa where you can see the lake, so you can fully enjoy Lake Shinji.

  • There is a hot spring with a panoramic view of Lake Shinji.

From the large public bath and open-air bath here, you can enjoy a wonderful view of Lake Shinji, and the indoor bath is very spacious. It is about a 3-minute walk from Matsue Shinjiko Onsen Station, so it is very accessible. Dinner was a delicious kaiseki meal, and breakfast was a buffet with both Japanese and Western dishes. There is also a souvenir corner, so you can enjoy shopping at your leisure.

  • A hot spring hotel adjacent to Izumoshi Station

Located next to JR Izumo Station and Ichibata Electric Railway, it is very convenient for sightseeing in the city, such as Izumo Taisha Shrine, Hinomisaki Lighthouse, Izumo hot spring, Izumo Winery (free wine tasting & free souvenir tasting). The hotel offers a lake view while soaking in Matsue Shinjiko hot spring. If you use this hotel as a base for heading towards Matsue, we recommend Tamatsukuri Onsen, Lake Shinji, Yaegaki Shrine, Matsue Castle, and Lafcadio Hearn's former residence.

  • A hotel where you can see Lake Shinji from both the rooms and the large public bath

Although it is not in Izumo city, I would like to recommend this hotel. married couple and I stayed there last year, and the room was spacious and comfortable. It takes about 70 minutes to get to Izumo Taisha Shrine by Ichibata Railway from the station below the hotel, but the view of Lake Shinji is beautiful from both the room and the large public bath, so you will be satisfied.

  • The perfect hotel for visiting Izumo Taisha Shrine

There is a train (Ichibata Electric Railway) that goes directly to Izumo Taisha Shrine, so it is very convenient to get there and back. There are several hot springs not only within the hotel but also near the hotel. At the hotel, you can enjoy delicious kaiseki cuisine with fish from the Sea of Japan and clams from Lake Shinji.

  • Located on the shores of Lake Shinji, it offers beautiful scenery.

Hotel Ichibata is located on the shores of Lake Shinji and is known as a hotel where you can experience the atmosphere of the Izumo Fudoki and the Seven Treasures of the Izumo Fudoki. Looking out over Lake Shinji and Mt. Daisen shining in the evening glow, you can imagine what Japan was like long before the Kojiki. When you go to Izumo, be sure to take the Izumo Fudoki with you. There is also a lot of information about Izumo Taisha Shrine.

  • A hotel with hot springs located right next to the starting station for trains to Taisha

There is a hot spring and the food is delicious. It is close to the starting station of the Ichibata Electric Railway, so you can see the sunset over Lake Shinji, and you can take a leisurely train ride to Taisha Shrine while looking at Lake Shinji. If you take a short walk after visiting Taisha Shrine, you can also see the scenic beauty of Hinomisaki, so this is a hotel that I can recommend.

  • It takes exactly one hour to get to Izumo Taisha Shrine by Ichibata Railway.

The hotel is just a few minutes from Matsue Shinjiko Onsen Station on the Ichibata Railway. It's great to walk along the shore and watch the sunrise over Lake Shinji in the morning. It's also fun to ride the train to Izumo Taisha Shrine while looking at Lake Shinji. The food was also good. If you're staying for two nights, I recommend Matsue City, although it's not close to Izumo Taisha Shrine.
